Airports Authority of India (AAI) has released AAI SSCO Consultant Recruitment 2026 under Advertisement No. 14/2026/CHQ/SSCOs for 39 Consultant posts, exclusively for retired Short Service Commission Officers (SSCOs) of the Indian Army, Indian Navy, Indian Air Force, or Indian Coast Guard, to support Air Traffic Services at 6 Joint User Defence Airfields — Pune (11), Kanpur (2), Purnea (4), Goa/Dabolim (15), Port Blair (4) and Darbhanga (3). Candidates up to 50 years of age, who retired from the Armed Forces within the last 6 years, holding a Graduate degree plus Basic ATC Course/ATM and AL (Basic) and GCA/ATSS Course, with minimum 5 years' cumulative ATC experience including at least 1 year at a Joint User Defence Airfield, can apply by e-mail between 17 September and 1 October 2026. Selected Consultants will support Air Traffic Control operations — ATC/SMC duties, watch extension and other ATC-related activities — at their assigned Joint User Defence Airfield, working alongside AAI's regular ATC staff. The selection process is Application Verification followed by an Interview — there is no written examination, and final selection is based on merit ranking of the interview alone.
