Qualification
Medical candidates: Recognised medical qualification under the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956, plus postgraduate qualification (MD/MS or equivalent); for super-specialities, D.M./M.Ch. in the relevant discipline. Non-medical candidates: Postgraduate/Master's degree in the discipline/allied subject plus a Doctorate degree from a recognised university (discipline-specific, e.g. M.Sc. Human Anatomy for Anatomy, M.Sc. Medical Physiology for Physiology). Experience required varies by post: Professor (14 years post-MD/MS), Additional Professor (10 years), Associate Professor (6 years), Assistant Professor (3 years), with adjusted requirements for D.M./M.Ch. holders. Age Limit
- Professor and Additional Professor: not exceeding 58 years
- Associate Professor and Assistant Professor: not exceeding 50 years
- PwBD candidates: 10 years relaxation
- SC/ST post-reserved candidates: 5 years relaxation
- OBC post-reserved candidates: 3 years relaxation
- Government servants: 5 years relaxation as per DoPT instructions
- No age relaxation for SC/ST/OBC/EWS candidates applying against unreserved vacancies
- Deputation applicants: maximum 56 years (58 years for Professor)
- Age reckoned as on the closing date of online application
Eligibility
- Medical candidates: recognised medical qualification plus MD/MS (or D.M./M.Ch. for super-specialities), with post-specific years of teaching/research experience
- Non-medical candidates: relevant Master's degree plus Doctorate from a recognised university, with post-specific years of experience after the doctorate
- Indian citizens and other citizens permissible under applicable Act/Rules, including OCI cardholders (as per MHA Order dated 02.08.2018), are eligible
- Age: 50–58 years depending on post, as on closing date of online application, with relaxation for PwBD/SC/ST/OBC/Government servants
- Teaching/research experience counted only from recognised institutions in the subject of speciality; Dental, Physiotherapy or Nursing college experience not considered
- DNB qualification holders must produce documentary evidence of equivalence with MD/MS/DM/M.Ch as per MCI notification dated 31.10.2018

- Assistant Professor: Level 12, minimum pay ₹1,01,500 (plus NPA), with provision to move to Level 13 after three years
- Plus usual allowances admissible to Central Government employees of similar status at AIIMS Mangalagiri
