BCECEB Senior Resident/Tutor Recruitment 2026 — 118 Posts, Apply Online by 08 Sep (Bihar)

Health Department, Government of Bihar, through the Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (BCECEB), has released BCECEB Senior Resident/Tutor Recruitment 2026(II) under Advt No. BCECEB/Health(SR)/2026(II)/01 for 118 tenure posts of Senior Resident/Tutor across the state's medical and dental colleges and hospitals. This is a panel formation exercise for tenure appointments of three years each, aimed at postgraduate doctors and dental surgeons in Forensic Medicine and Toxicology (FMT) and Dental Disease specialties who want a structured teaching-cum-clinical tenure role within Bihar government medical institutions. Candidates with a postgraduate degree in the concerned subject, or an equivalent qualification recognised under NMC teacher-eligibility norms, are eligible to apply online for these BCECEB Senior Resident/Tutor 2026 vacancies. Selected Senior Resident/Tutor candidates will serve a three-year tenure at Bihar's medical and dental colleges and hospitals, combining teaching duties with clinical/departmental responsibilities in Forensic Medicine & Toxicology or Dental Disease. • PG Diploma holders considered only where PG-degree candidates are unavailable, with a 10-mark merit deduction; PG degree holders always rank higher even at equal marks
• Candidature source: 40% from Bihar State Health Service cadre, 40% from in-state PG (Residency Scheme) doctors, 20% from out-of-state PG (Residency Scheme) doctors
• Age (as on 01 August 2026): 37 years (UR-Male), 40 years (UR-Female/BC/EBC), 42 years (SC/ST)
• Bihar State Health Service cadre members — 5 years age relaxation; PwD candidates — 10 years relaxation (only one basis applicable)
• Reservation benefit granted only on submission of a valid Non-Creamy Layer caste certificate for Bihar; otherwise treated as Unreserved
• Doctors who have already completed a 3-year tenure as Senior Resident/Tutor in a subject are not eligible for reappointment in the same subject
• PG bond-holders not yet posted as Senior Resident/Tutor get an opportunity per Health Dept Order No. 91(17) dated 27 January 2023, with tenure counted from date of joining
• Degrees not recognised by MCI/DCI/NMC will not be considered; multi-subject PG holders must apply separately, department-wise, for each subject

1. Visit the official website bceceboard.bihar.gov.in and download the Prospectus for detailed eligibility and instructions
2. Click on the "Online Portal of Senior Resident/Tutor under Health Dept." link, then click "Apply for Senior Resident/Tutor" and select "New Registration"
3. Complete registration using your own or your parent's email ID and mobile number, and verify the OTPs sent to both, as these cannot be changed later
4. Complete the multi-step application form covering Department Selection, Personal Information, Contact Details, and Educational Information, clicking "Save & Continue" after each section
5. Upload a scanned colour photograph, signature, and live photograph as instructed
6. Review all entries in the Application Preview stage and use "Back to Edit" to correct any anomalies
7. Click "Final Submit & Proceed to Payment" once all details are confirmed correct
8. Complete payment of ₹2,250 through Debit Card, Credit Card, Net Banking, or UPI, along with the applicable processing charge
9. Download and verify the Confirmation Page and Fee Receipt after successful payment
10. Use the Online Editing window on 09 September 2026 for any corrections, since no changes are permitted after this window closes
