Overview
Yes, BEML Limited Apprentice Recruitment 2026 is out — BEML Limited, a Government of India Enterprise under the Ministry of Defence, has released Advertisement No. L&D/01/2026 for 1,346 apprenticeship training slots under the Apprentices Act, 1961. The BEML Apprentice Recruitment 2026 notification was issued on 18 August 2026, and online applications are open from the same day until 08 September 2026 (23:00 hrs) through the official portal recruitment.bemlindia.in. Training slots are spread across four manufacturing complexes: Bangalore (400), Mysore (227), KGF (608), and Palakkad (111), covering ITI trades, Diploma, and Graduate/Engineering Graduate categories. Candidates aged 17 years or above who hold a full-time regular ITI certificate, Diploma, or Degree in an eligible trade or discipline, and who passed their final examination within the last three years, are eligible to apply for BEML Limited's one-year apprenticeship program. There is no application fee, written examination, or interview for BEML Apprentice Recruitment 2026 — selection runs entirely on a merit list built from marks in the qualifying examination, followed by document verification in a 1:5 ratio against the notified training slots. Selected apprentices receive a monthly stipend ranging from Rs. 9,600 for ITI trades to Rs. 12,300 for Graduate categories, and must register on the NATS or NAPS portal before applying on the BEML website. The BEML Apprentice Recruitment 2026 spans 20+ trades and disciplines including Fitter, Electrician, Turner, Welder, Machinist, COPA, Mechanical, Electrical & Electronics, Civil, Computer Science, and general graduate streams like B.Com, BBA, and BCA, making it one of the largest apprenticeship intakes among Defence PSUs this year. Candidates should apply well before the 08 September 2026 closing time, since only one application per trade per location is permitted, and multiple applications lead to summary rejection. The BEML Apprentice Recruitment 2026 stands out among Defence PSU apprenticeship drives this year for both its scale and its spread across engineering, general graduate, and ITI trade categories in a single notification. Candidates choosing between the four complexes should note that KGF carries the highest concentration of ITI trade slots, particularly Fitter (135), Turner (95), and Welder (85), making it the strongest option for candidates from a trade background, while Bangalore and Mysore carry a heavier mix of BE/BTech and Diploma engineering slots relative to their overall size. Since apprenticeship completion at BEML does not entitle candidates to a permanent job offer, aspirants should treat this primarily as a structured, stipend-paid training opportunity that builds hands-on industrial experience at a major Ministry of Defence manufacturing unit, rather than as a direct route into regular BEML employment. BEML Limited manufactures earthmoving equipment, defence vehicles including armoured recovery vehicles, and rail coaches across its various complexes, giving apprentices exposure to some of India's most advanced heavy engineering and defence manufacturing processes during their one-year training period.
