Overview
Yes, BHEL Trichy Apprentice Recruitment 2026-27 is out. Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL), Tiruchirappalli, has released three separate circulars — all dated 14 August 2026 — for engagement of apprentices for the training year 2026-27: Graduate Apprentice (90 posts), Technician Apprentice (60 posts) and Trade Apprentice (380 posts), totalling 530 one-year training vacancies under the Board of Apprenticeship Training, Southern Region (BOAT-SR). BHEL Tiruchirappalli is one of BHEL's largest manufacturing units, producing turbines, boilers and heavy electrical equipment, and this apprenticeship drive is one of its biggest for 2026-27. Graduate Apprentice posts span Mechanical, Civil, Computer Science, Electronics & Communication and Electrical & Electronics Engineering along with Accountant and Assistant-HR roles; Technician Apprentice covers similar engineering disciplines at diploma level; and the 380-post Trade Apprentice category spans nine ITI trades including Fitter (125 posts, the largest single trade), Welder (115 posts), Electrician, Turner, Machinist and COPA. Preference across all three categories goes to candidates who completed their qualifying course from Government-recognized institutions in Tamil Nadu, with candidates from other states considered only if Tamil Nadu candidates are unavailable for a notified branch. Eligible candidates can apply online from 14 August 2026, 15:00 Hrs, through 12 September 2026, 23:45 Hrs, via the BHEL Trichy portal. Since Graduate and Technician Apprentice applicants must first register on the MHRD NATS 2.0 portal while Trade Apprentice applicants must register on the RDSDE (NAPS) portal before applying on the BHEL site, candidates should complete the correct government portal registration first to avoid delays.
