BMC Cooper Hospital 2026 — 115 Posts, Apply by 30 Jul (Mumbai)

Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has notified 115 contractual posts across 24 categories at Hind Hridaysamrat Balasaheb Thackeray Medical College and Dr. Rustom Narsee Cooper Hospital, Juhu, under Reference No. HO/6785/Cooper dated 21 July 2026. Applications are accepted in person only, between 22 and 30 July 2026 from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM, excluding Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays. Applications sent by post or submitted online are not considered. Sweeper is the largest block at 31 posts, followed by Ayah or Nursing Attendant with 22 and Ward Attendant with 12. Laboratory Attendant accounts for 7, Training Assistant and the Hearse Attendant combined post 5 each, and the remainder are spread thinly across Electrician, Wireman, Lift Operator, Gardener, Porter, Dresser, Barber, Tailor and other support categories. Consolidated remuneration is ₹18,000 for most posts, ₹17,000 for Dresser and Tailor, and ₹15,000 for laboratory and ambulance attendant roles, with no DA, HRA or other allowance on top. Two requirements decide eligibility for these Mumbai municipal jobs more than qualifications do. Marathi is mandatory: candidates must have passed the 10th standard Marathi language paper carrying 100 marks under Maharashtra State Board norms and must read, write and speak the language. The fee of ₹1,028 must also be paid in person at the hospital cashier before submitting, and an application without the receipt photocopy is rejected outright. Selection is by merit list built from educational qualification and interview marks, with the interview date displayed on the hospital notice board and communicated by phone. Appointments run to 31 March 2027, each temporary spell capped at 89 days, and require an agreement on ₹500 stamp paper plus police character verification.

• Tailor additionally requires a satisfactorily completed one-year tailoring and cutting training certificate from a recognised government institution, or a minimum 20-week Advanced Tailoring Course from Shramik Vidyapeeth
• Sweeper, Ward Attendant, Ayah, Gardener, Porter, Worker, Ambulance Attendant and Tailor posts require passing a departmental trade or skill test

• Applications by post or online are not accepted under any circumstances
• Married women candidates must attach a photocopy of the marriage registration certificate
• Character and antecedent verification is conducted through the concerned police station before appointment
• Appointment is contractual with no claim to permanent service, and appointees cannot approach any court regarding the appointment

• Dresser and Tailor: ₹17,000 per month
• Laboratory Attendant, Laboratory Servant, Ambulance Attendant, Hearse Attendant combined post, Barber: ₹15,000 per month
• No Dearness Allowance, House Rent Allowance or similar benefit is payable in addition to the consolidated remuneration

1. Confirm you meet the age, 10th pass, Marathi language and trade-specific requirements for your chosen post
2. Visit the Cashier Department, Room No. 65, First Floor, D Wing, Dr. Rustom Narsee Cooper Hospital, between 22 and 30 July 2026, 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM
3. Pay the application fee of ₹1,028 and collect the receipt
4. Complete the application form in full, entering a valid and regularly used email ID
5. Attach self-attested photocopies of your 10th and 12th marksheets and certificates, plus any degree, diploma, MSCIT or typing certificate required for your post
6. Attach council registration certificates where the post requires them, along with experience certificates
7. Attach your Aadhaar card, PAN card and address proof, being driving licence, electricity bill, voter ID or ration card
8. Married women candidates must attach the marriage registration certificate photocopy
9. Attach a photocopy of the fee receipt, without which the application will not be considered valid
10. Submit in person at the Establishment Department, First Floor, D Wing, at the same hospital by 4:00 PM on 30 July 2026, and carry all originals to the interview
