Qualification

- Associate Professor (6 posts): MCI/NMC recognised postgraduate degree with 5 years as Assistant Professor in a government medical institution, research publications as per NMC TEQ guidelines, and completion of the Basic Course in Biomedical Research within 2 years of appointment
- Assistant Professor (40 posts): MCI/NMC recognised postgraduate degree with 1 year as Senior Resident in the concerned subject after acquiring MD/MS/MDS; Dentistry candidates need 1 year as Senior Resident/Registrar/Tutor/Lecturer after MDS
- Casualty Medical Officer (2 posts): MBBS degree from an NMC-recognised medical college, experience as per NMC TEQ guidelines
Age Limit
- Professor: Maximum 47 years (OBC 45, SC/ST 47)
- Associate Professor: Maximum 44 years (OBC 42, SC/ST 44)
- Assistant Professor / Casualty Medical Officer: Maximum 40 years (OBC 38, SC/ST 40)
- Additional relaxation: In-service as per Rule 6 of General Recruitment Rules 1997; Physically Handicapped 10 years; Widow 10 years; Ex-servicemen 3 years plus service rendered in Armed Forces; General 5 years
Eligibility
- Professor: PG medical degree (MD/MS/DNB/DrNB/MDS/M.Sc, Ph.D) with 3 years as Assistant Professor in an NMC/MCI recognised medical college, required research publications, and completion of Basic Course in Medical Education and Biomedical Research
- Associate Professor: PG medical degree with 5 years as Assistant Professor in a government medical institution, required research publications, and Basic Course in Biomedical Research within 2 years of appointment
- Assistant Professor: PG medical degree with 1 year as Senior Resident in the concerned subject (Dentistry candidates: 1 year as Senior Resident/Registrar/Tutor/Lecturer after MDS)
- Casualty Medical Officer: MBBS from an NMC-recognised medical college
