The Council of Scientific & Industrial Research (CSIR) has released the CSIR Technician (1), Group II Recruitment 2026 notification for 43 posts under Advertisement No. R&A/01/2026. Selected candidates will draw Group-C, Pay Matrix Level-2 pay of ₹19,900–63,200, along with HRA, Travelling Allowance, Leave Travel Concession, medical reimbursement, and Children's Education Allowance under the National Pension System. Job locations are at CSIR HQ and Units across Delhi-NCR, Pune, and Mumbai. Selection follows a multi-stage process: Screening Committee shortlisting, a qualifying Trade Test, and a competitive written examination across Paper-I (Mental Ability), Paper-II (General Awareness + English), and Paper-III (Concerned Trade Subject), with the final merit list based on Paper-II and Paper-III marks. The application fee is ₹500 for General candidates, with Women/SC/ST/PwBD/Ex-Servicemen exempted, payable online via SBI Collect. • OBC (Non-Creamy Layer): 3 years relaxation
• PwBD: 10 years relaxation
• Ex-Servicemen: 3 years relaxation after deduction of military service
• CSIR Departmental/Govt./PSU employees with 3+ years service: 5 years relaxation
