CUTN Junior Research Fellow Recruitment 2026 (Tamil Nadu)

Central University of Tamil Nadu (CUTN), Thiruvarur, Ministry of Education, Govt. of India, has released the Junior Research Fellow (JRF) Recruitment 2026 for 1 project-based vacancy. Candidates up to 28 years of age holding an M.Sc./M.Tech./Integrated M.Sc. or BS-MS in Applied Geology, Geology, Geophysics, Geodesy or Geoinformatics, with a valid CSIR/UGC-NET/GATE score, are eligible to apply. The selected JRF will work on a research project involving GNSS/GPS and InSAR data analysis and tectonic deformation processes in seismically active regions, with basic programming skills in Linux, Python or MATLAB considered desirable. The selection process for CUTN JRF 2026 is an online interview, with no written test. The monthly stipend for JRF 2026 is ₹37,000 plus HRA as per applicable norms. • M.Sc./M.Tech./Integrated M.Sc./BS-MS in Applied Geology, Geology, Geophysics, Geodesy or Geoinformatics, or an equivalent degree, from a recognised university/institute/R&D lab, with minimum 60% marks (55% for SC/ST/PH)
• Valid CSIR/UGC-NET/GATE score mandatory
• Experience in processing GNSS/GPS or InSAR data, tectonic deformation analysis, and basic programming (Linux, Python, MATLAB or similar) desirable

• Maximum 28 years, relaxation as per Govt. of India rules

• M.Sc./M.Tech./Integrated M.Sc./BS-MS in Applied Geology, Geology, Geophysics, Geodesy or Geoinformatics, or equivalent, with 60% marks (55% SC/ST/PH)
• Valid CSIR/UGC-NET/GATE score mandatory
• Age up to 28 years, relaxation as per Govt. of India rules
• Experience with GNSS/GPS/InSAR data and basic programming (Linux/Python/MATLAB) desirable
