Delhi University Associate Professor & Professor Recruitment 2026 — 86 Posts, Apply by 20 Aug (Delhi)

University of Delhi (DU) has released two faculty recruitment notifications for a combined 86 vacancies — 56 Associate Professor posts under Advt No. R&P/321/2026 and 30 Professor posts under Advt No. R&P/322/2026, both dated 31 July 2026. Both drives span nine departments: Chemistry, Environmental Studies, Genetics, Geology, Hindi, Linguistics, Operational Research, Philosophy, and Zoology, with Philosophy carrying the largest Associate Professor share at 16 posts. Selected faculty will join Delhi University's teaching departments, with Associate Professors requiring a research score of 75 and Professors requiring 120, calculated from publications, research guidance, patents, and other academic contributions as per DU's Screening Guidelines. • Associate Professor (56 posts): PhD in the concerned/allied/relevant discipline, Master's degree with minimum 55% marks, minimum 8 years' teaching/research experience as Assistant Professor with at least 7 peer-reviewed/UGC-listed publications, and a total research score of 75
• Professor (30 posts): Either an eminent scholar with PhD, minimum 10 research publications, research score of 120, 10 years' teaching experience with successful doctoral guidance; OR an outstanding professional with PhD and 10 years' relevant experience with documented contribution to the field
• Departments covered (both posts): Chemistry, Environmental Studies, Genetics, Geology, Hindi, Linguistics, Operational Research, Philosophy, Zoology

• PhD in the concerned/allied/relevant discipline (mandatory for both posts)
• Associate Professor: Master's with 55% marks, 8 years' experience, 7+ publications, research score 75
• Professor: 10 years' experience, 10+ publications, research score 120, with doctoral guidance or documented professional contribution
• 5% relaxation (55% to 50%) for SC/ST/OBC (NCL)/PwBD at Bachelor's/Master's level
• Only UGC-CARE list or SCOPUS-indexed publications considered for research score

• Unreserved: ₹2,000
• OBC/EWS and women applicants: ₹1,500
• SC/ST: ₹1,000
• PwBD: ₹500
