Overview
Yes, DEO Chittoor Academic Instructor Recruitment 2026 is out. The District Educational Officer, Chittoor, has issued proceedings (Rc.No: 1901/B4/2026, dated 14 August 2026) for the temporary engagement of 249 Academic Instructors — 93 School Assistants (SA) and 156 Secondary Grade Teachers (SGT) — in Govt/ZPP/MPP/Municipality and Municipal Corporation schools across Chittoor district for the academic year 2026-27. This is a purely temporary engagement for 8 months, from 1 September 2026 to 30 April 2027, following permission from the Director of School Education, Andhra Pradesh. School Assistant posts are notified subject-wise — Urdu, Hindi, English, Maths, Physical Science, Biological Science and Social Studies — across Telugu, Urdu and Tamil mediums, while SGT posts are notified medium-wise across the same three languages. Vacancies span all 27 mandals of Chittoor district, with preference given first to candidates native to the concerned village/Mandal, and second to TET-qualified candidates. Eligible candidates must submit applications offline at the concerned Mandal Educational Office (MRC) between 16 August 2026 and 21 August 2026, from 9 AM to 5 PM — a very short window, so candidates should act quickly. Selected candidates must join their allotted school on 1 September 2026; if a selected candidate does not join, the next meritorious candidate is considered in their place.

- Secondary Grade Teacher (SGT): Intermediate/Graduation with D.El.Ed, in Telugu, Urdu, or Tamil medium, per the latest DSC notification norms
- Preference is given to TET (Teacher Eligibility Test) qualified candidates; if a TET-qualified candidate is unavailable for a post, a candidate with the requisite Academic and Professional Qualification is considered instead

- Candidates must furnish Date of Birth as per SSC Certificate on the application form
Eligibility
- Open to candidates meeting the post-wise educational and professional qualification — B.Ed with the relevant Methodology for SA posts, D.El.Ed for SGT posts — per the latest DSC notification norms

- Preference is given second to TET-qualified candidates; where a TET-qualified candidate is unavailable, a candidate with the requisite qualification for the post is considered
- Qualifying TET marks referenced on the application form: OC – 90, BC – 75, SC/ST/PwD/Ex-Servicemen – 60
