DRDO DGRE Junior Research Fellow Recruitment 2026 — 8 Posts, Walk-in 15–16 Sep (Chandigarh)

Defence Geoinformatics Research Establishment (DRDO DGRE), Chandigarh, has released Junior Research Fellow (JRF) Recruitment 2026 under Advertisement No. DGRE-01/JRF-RA/01/2026-27 for 8 contractual posts across four research disciplines — Computer Science & Engineering, Structural Engineering, Geo-informatics/Remote Sensing & GIS, and Atmospheric Science/Meteorology. Candidates with an ME/M.Tech, or a BE/B.Tech with NET/GATE, in the relevant discipline are eligible to attend the walk-in interview. Selected JRFs will support DRDO DGRE's defence research projects in their respective specialisation, receiving a monthly stipend of ₹37,000 plus HRA. Selection is through a Walk-in Interview followed by Document Verification, with no written examination stage. There is no application fee for any category. Candidates must attend the walk-in interview at DRDO DGRE, Chandigarh, on 15 September 2026 (for Posts 1–2) or 16 September 2026 (for Posts 3–4), carrying all original documents and self-attested photocopies. • JRF (Computer Science & Engineering), 3 posts: ME/M.Tech in CSE/Computer Engineering/IT or allied subjects with First Division, OR BE/B.Tech First Division with NET/GATE in the same disciplines
• JRF (Structural Engineering), 1 post: ME/M.Tech in Structural Engineering with First Division, OR BE/B.Tech First Division with NET/GATE in Civil Engineering (Structural specialisation)
• JRF (Geo-informatics/Remote Sensing & GIS), 2 posts: ME/M.Tech in Geo-informatics/Remote Sensing & GIS/Geomatics with First Division, OR BE/B.Tech/PG Science First Division with NET/GATE in the same fields
• JRF (Atmospheric Science/Meteorology), 2 posts: ME/M.Tech in Atmospheric Science/Meteorology/Environmental Engineering with First Division, OR BE/B.Tech/PG Science First Division with NET/GATE in the same fields

• Maximum Age: 28 years, as on 30 June 2026
• SC/ST: 5 years relaxation | OBC: 3 years relaxation

• ME/M.Tech or BE/B.Tech with NET/GATE in the relevant discipline (Computer Science, Structural Engineering, Geo-informatics, or Atmospheric Science/Meteorology)
• First Division required at both Graduate and Post Graduate level where applicable
• Maximum age 28 years as on 30 June 2026, with SC/ST (5 years) and OBC (3 years) relaxation
