Government Medical College, Jalgaon (GMC Jalgaon), under the Directorate of Medical Education and Research, Mumbai, has released GMC Jalgaon Recruitment 2026 for 21 contractual posts — 11 Professor and 10 Associate Professor, across departments including Anatomy, Biochemistry, Pharmacology, Medicine, Surgery, Orthopedics, Radio-Diagnosis, Paediatrics, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Psychiatry, Dermatology, Microbiology, Physiology, Preventive and Social Medicine, and Forensic Medicine and Toxicology. Candidates up to 69 years of age, holding an MD/MS/DNB or equivalent NMC-recognised qualification in the relevant subject, with 3 years' experience as Associate Professor (for Professor posts) or 4 years' experience as Assistant Professor (for Associate Professor posts) at a recognised medical college, can apply offline from 11 September 2026 to 25 September 2026. Selected Professors and Associate Professors will teach undergraduate and postgraduate medical students and provide specialist clinical care at GMC Jalgaon, on a 364-day contractual basis or until a regular candidate becomes available. The selection process is a 100-mark merit assessment (Qualification 50, Additional Qualification 5, Teaching Experience 20, Research Publications 10, Interview 15), with a minimum of 41% marks required for consideration. Salary for GMC Jalgaon Recruitment 2026 is ₹1,85,000 per month for Professor and ₹1,70,000 per month for Associate Professor (private/other-sector candidates); retired government teachers are paid per applicable Maharashtra Government rules. 2. Fill in the application form with personal and educational details, teaching experience, and research publication details.
3. Attach a recent passport-size photograph.
4. Attach self-attested copies of all applicable certificates — SSC certificate, undergraduate/postgraduate mark sheets and degree certificates, Medical Council registration, Basic Course in Medical Education Technology certificate, Basic Course in Biomedical Research certificate, teaching-experience certificate, research publication certificates, domicile and caste certificate (if applicable), Aadhaar card, and NOC (if applicable).
