HPPSC Assistant Professor 2026 — College Cadre, 22 Subjects, Himachal Pradesh (369 Posts)

The Himachal Pradesh Public Service Commission (HPPSC) has released 22 subject-wise notifications (Advt. No. 34/6-2026 to 55/6-2026) for 369 Assistant Professor (College Cadre) posts in the Department of Higher Education, Government of Himachal Pradesh. Subjects include English (39 posts — highest), Chemistry (34), Hindi (34), Physics (28), Economics (27), Mathematics (25), Commerce (24), Political Science (22), History (20), Geography (18), and 12 more subjects. Selected candidates join as Job Trainees at ₹35,000/month. Selection through Paper-I (Screening Test, 100 marks, qualifying only), Paper-II (Subject Aptitude Test, 200 marks, for merit), and Personality Test (30 marks interview). Paper-I and Paper-II conducted on the same day.

Master's degree in relevant subject with minimum 55% marks (50% for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD) from a recognized university + NET/SLET/SET qualified or Ph.D as per UGC Regulations 2018

18–45 years as on 01 January 2026; relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST/OBC of HP, Ward of Freedom Fighters, PwBD

• NET/SLET/SET qualified, OR Ph.D as per UGC Regulations on Minimum Qualifications 2018.
• Age 18–45 years as on 01 January 2026.
• Each subject has a separate advertisement — apply for the correct subject code.

₹600 (all categories); paid online

₹35,000/month fixed during Job Trainee period; regular pay scale after confirmation

1. Visit hppsc.hp.gov.in and complete One Time Registration (OTR) if not already done.
2. Login and select the relevant subject advertisement number.
3. Fill the Online Recruitment Application (ORA) form.
4. Upload scanned documents (Matric certificate, Master's degree, category certificate, etc.).
5. Pay ₹600 online and submit before 14 July 2026 (11:59 PM).
