Overview
The Himachal Pradesh Public Service Commission (HPPSC) has released the notification for 734 Police Constable posts (491 Male + 243 Female) in the Himachal Pradesh Police Department on 09 July 2026. Online applications opened 10 July 2026 and close 06 August 2026. IMPORTANT: Education must be from an HP-based institution — candidates who studied outside HP are NOT eligible. Selection through Physical Standard Test (height, chest), Physical Efficiency Test (1500m run, high jump, 100m race, broad jump), Written Examination (90 MCQs, 90 marks, 2 hours, negative marking 0.25), Document Verification (NCC marks up to 4), and Medical Examination. Written exam conducted by HPPSC; physical tests by HP Police Department.
