IBPS PO 2026 — CRP PO/MT XVI, Probationary Officer in 11 Public Sector Banks (7,365 Posts)

The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) has released the CRP PO/MT-XVI notification on 30 June 2026 for 7,365 Probationary Officer / Management Trainee posts across 11 participating public sector banks — the largest IBPS PO recruitment in recent history, approximately 29% higher than the previous cycle. Bank of Baroda leads with 1,900 vacancies, followed by Canara Bank with 1,500. Three banks (Indian Bank, UCO Bank, Union Bank) are yet to report final figures, so the total may increase further. Online registration is active from 01 July to 21 July 2026. Selection through three stages — Preliminary Examination (22-23 August 2026, qualifying only), Main Examination (04 October 2026, merit-based with 80% weightage), and Interview/Personality Test (November-December 2026, 20% weightage). The Mains exam pattern has been revised this year — 170 questions instead of the earlier 145, with modified marks distribution. Pan-India posting in the allotted bank. This is a permanent government banking career with NPS pension, subsidized loans, medical insurance, and promotion prospects from Scale-I to General Manager.

Graduation (Bachelor's degree) in any discipline from a recognized university or equivalent. Final result must have been declared on or before 21 July 2026. Final-year students who have not received their degree are NOT eligible.

• Graduation (Bachelor's degree) in any discipline from a recognized university or equivalent recognized by the Central Government.
• Degree must have been obtained on or before 21 July 2026.
• Candidates who are in the final year and have NOT yet received degree are NOT eligible.
• Chartered Accountants, Cost Accountants, and holders of integrated dual-degree courses are also eligible.
• Must possess valid certificate of knowledge of official language of the state/UT for which applying.
• Age 20–30 years as on 01 July 2026 (relaxation per Central Govt rules).

₹850 (General/OBC/EWS); ₹175 (SC/ST/PwBD). Online payment only (debit/credit card, net banking, UPI, IMPS).

Basic Pay ₹48,480/month (Scale JMG-I: ₹48,480–2000/7–62,480–2340/2–67,160–2680/7–85,920). In-hand salary approximately ₹74,000–₹76,000/month including DA, HRA, CCA, and other allowances depending on posting city.

3. Receive Registration Number and Password via email/SMS.
4. Login and fill personal, educational, and preference details.
5. Upload photograph (4.5×3.5cm, 20-50 KB), signature (3.5×2cm, 10-20 KB), left thumb impression, and hand-written declaration as per IBPS specifications.
6. Pay ₹850 (Gen/OBC/EWS) or ₹175 (SC/ST/PwBD) online.
