Indian Institute of Management Shillong (IIM Shillong) has released Recruitment 2026 for 3 contractual posts — 1 Project Coordinator and 2 Field Investigators. Candidates with a Master's/Bachelor's degree in Management, Rural Development, or Social Sciences are eligible to apply for this rural livelihoods project role in Meghalaya. Selected candidates will support enterprise promotion, startup incubation, livelihood programmes, and community-based field research under IIM Shillong's rural development initiatives. Selection is through shortlisting followed by an interview, tentatively scheduled for 10 August 2026. Salary is ₹45,000 per month for the Project Coordinator and ₹34,000 per month for Field Investigators, with no application fee. • Project Coordinator (1 post): Master's Degree in Management, Rural Development, or a relevant discipline. Experience in enterprise promotion, startup incubation, livelihood programmes, entrepreneurship development, or rural development projects. Knowledge of local languages of Meghalaya is an added advantage.
• Field Investigator (2 posts): Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Management, Rural Development, Social Sciences, or a related discipline (Master's preferred). Experience in community-based development work, surveys, or field research preferred; fresh postgraduates willing to undertake extensive fieldwork may also apply.

• Project Coordinator: Master's Degree in Management/Rural Development with relevant experience in enterprise promotion or rural development projects
• Field Investigator: Bachelor's/Master's Degree in Management/Rural Development/Social Sciences, with fieldwork/survey experience preferred
