IOB Apprentice 2026 — Indian Overseas Bank, All India (750 Posts)

Indian Overseas Bank (IOB), one of India's leading Public Sector Banks headquartered in Chennai with pan-India and international presence, has released the notification for engagement of 750 Apprentices under the Apprentices Act, 1961 for FY 2026-27 (Advt. No. HRDD/APPR/01/2026-27). This is a state-wise recruitment — candidates can apply for only ONE State/UT, preferably their home State/UT. Selected apprentices will undergo 12-month structured training at IOB branches with a monthly stipend of ₹15,000. This is NOT permanent employment — apprentices have no right to claim regular bank employment during or after the contract. Candidates must register on NATS portal (nats.education.gov.in) or NAPS portal (apprenticeshipindia.gov.in) before applying. Selection through Online Written Test (90 minutes, 100 objective questions across Awareness, English, Aptitude, Computer Knowledge — remote proctored), Test of Local Language, and Document Verification/Personal Interaction. Tentative online exam date: 02 August 2026. Candidates who have already undergone apprenticeship, currently pursuing training, or have 1+ year of job experience post-graduation are NOT eligible.

Bachelor's degree (Graduation) in any discipline from a University recognized by the Govt of India or equivalent qualification. For NATS-registered candidates, graduation result must be declared between 01 March 2022 and 31 July 2026.

20-28 years as on 01 July 2026 (born between 01 July 1998 and 01 July 2006). Relaxation: SC/ST +5, OBC +3, PwBD +10.

• For NATS candidates: graduation declared between 01 March 2022 and 31 July 2026.
• Age 20-28 years as on 01 July 2026.
• Must NOT have completed prior apprenticeship under the Apprentices Act.
• Must NOT have 1+ year post-graduation work/training experience.
• Ex-servicemen NOT eligible.
• Must know the local language of the State/UT applied for.

As per notification — paid online via debit/credit/net banking. Free for certain categories.

₹15,000/month stipend for 12-month apprenticeship training (NOT permanent employment)

1. Register on NATS portal (nats.education.gov.in) OR NAPS portal (apprenticeshipindia.gov.in) — mandatory.
2. Visit iob.in → Careers OR bfsissc.com → Career Opportunities.
3. NATS-registered candidates: log in to NATS portal and apply under "Apply against advertised vacancies."
4. NAPS-registered candidates: search "Indian Overseas Bank" under "Search By Establishment Name."
5. Provide NATS/NAPS Enrolment number in application.
6. Apply for ONE State/UT only (preferably home State/UT).
7. Pay application fee/intimation charges online.
8. Submit before 20 July 2026. Fee payment till 22 July 2026.
