The Master Control Facility (MCF), Hassan — a key centre of the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) under the Department of Space — has released its Apprentice Recruitment 2026-27 notification for 45 Graduate Apprentice Trainee (GAT) and Technician Apprentice Trainee (TAT) vacancies. Qualification
Graduate Apprentice Trainee (GAT): B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical, Electrical & Electronics, Electronics & Communication, Computer Science or Civil Engineering from a recognised Indian university; or a degree in Library Science (AICTE/UGC approved); or a B.A./B.Com./B.Sc. general-stream degree from a recognised university. Technician Apprentice Trainee (TAT): Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical & Electronics, Electronics & Communication or Civil Engineering; or Diploma in Library Science; or Diploma in Commercial Practice, awarded by a recognised State Board of Technical Education. Only candidates who passed as regular students during 2022–2026 and can join within 5 years of acquiring the qualification are eligible.
Age Limit
As per the Apprentices Act, 1961 and the terms in the official circular. Candidates who passed their qualifying examination before 2022 are not eligible.
Eligibility
- GAT: B.E./B.Tech in the relevant discipline, or Library Science degree, or a B.A./B.Com./B.Sc. degree from a recognised Indian university
- TAT: Diploma in the relevant engineering discipline, Library Science or Commercial Practice from a recognised State Board
- Only Indian nationals who passed as regular students are eligible
- Must have passed the qualifying degree/diploma during 2022, 2023, 2024, 2025 or 2026 and be able to join within 5 years of passing
- Ex-apprentices, candidates already undergoing apprenticeship, and those with one year or more of work experience are not eligible
- Mandatory registration on the NATS portal (nats.education.gov.in) with a valid enrolment number
