JKSSB Class-IV (MTS) & Sanitation Worker Recruitment 2026 — 2863 Posts, Apply 05 Oct-03 Nov

Jammu & Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB) has officially released the JKSSB Recruitment 2026 (Advt No. 09 of 2026) notification for 2,863 vacancies of Class-IV (MTS) and Sanitation Worker, across UT, Divisional, and District cadres. Candidates who possess the requisite educational qualification (Minimum 8th/Matric and Maximum 10+2) and hold a valid J&K Domicile can apply online at jkssb.nic.in, from 05 October 2026 to 03 November 2026. Selected candidates will be posted across UT Cadre, Divisional Cadre (Jammu and Kashmir), and District Cadre spanning all 20 districts of the Union Territory. The selection process is based on an Objective Type Written Test with negative marking, combined with additional weightage points, followed by Document Verification for shortlisted candidates. The salary for both Class-IV (MTS) and Sanitation Worker posts is Pay Level SL1 (₹14,800–₹47,100). • Age reckoned as on 01.01.2026
• Open Merit (OM): Maximum 40 years (not born before 01.01.1986, not after 01.01.2008)
• SC/ST-1/ST-2/RBA/ALC-IB/EWS/OBC: Maximum 43 years (not born before 01.01.1983, not after 01.01.2008)
• PwBD: Maximum 42 years (not born before 01.01.1984, not after 01.01.2008)
• Ex-Servicemen may deduct Armed Forces service from actual age, up to 3 years beyond the maximum limit; an additional 5-year relaxation applies for casual-worker weightage claimants

• Candidates must be Domicile holders of the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir with a valid Domicile Certificate issued on or before the cut-off date
• Class-IV (MTS): Matriculation minimum to 10+2 maximum
• Sanitation Worker: 8th Pass minimum to 10+2 maximum
• Age reckoned as on 01.01.2026, with maximum limits ranging from 40 to 43 years by category
• Candidates possessing qualification other than what is prescribed will not be eligible and their candidature is liable to be summarily rejected at any stage

3. Fill in personal, educational, and category details carefully in the online application form
4. Upload live photograph and signature as per the prescribed size (10 KB to 20 KB)
5. Pay the application fee online through Net Banking, Credit Card, or Debit Card
6. Review all entries carefully before final submission, as no corrections are allowed after submission
7. Submit the form and save/print the application for future reference and Document Verification
8. Only one online application per item number is allowed; multiple applications for the same item number will lead to cancellation
9. Name, date of birth, and parents' names must be entered exactly as per the Matriculation Certificate
10. Carry valid original photo ID proof and two recent passport photographs to the examination hall
