Subject-wise: Kannada Teacher: Graduation with Kannada as optional or Kannada Pandith + B.Ed. English Teacher: Graduation with English as optional + B.Ed. Maths/Science/Social Science: Graduation with relevant subject + B.Ed. Computer Science: B.E./B.Tech CS/IT or BCA/MCA + B.Ed. Physical Education Teacher (PET): B.P.Ed or equivalent. Drawing Teacher: B.F.A./B.V.A. or equivalent Art qualification.

Overview
The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has released two notifications dated 10 July 2026 for 1,087 Teacher posts in Karnataka Residential Educational Institutions Society (KREIS) residential schools — 320 under the Kalyana Karnataka (KK) cadre and 767 under the Rest of the State (RPC) cadre. Posts cover 9 subjects: Kannada, English, Hindi, Mathematics, Science, Social Science, Computer Science, Physical Education, and Drawing. KREIS runs a network of Morarji Desai, Kittur Rani Chennamma, Atal Bihari Vajpayee, Smt. Indira Gandhi, and Dr. B.R. Ambedkar residential schools across Karnataka providing free education and boarding. Selection through Competitive Written Examination (Offline OMR type) followed by Certificate Verification — NO interview. Negative marking of 0.25 per wrong answer. Applications open 15 July to 13 August 2026 through the KEA portal (cetonline.karnataka.gov.in/kea/).
Eligibility
* Graduation in the relevant subject + B.Ed. from NCTE-recognized institution.
* Valid Karnataka TET (KTET) or CTET Paper-II certificate (mandatory for posts 1-6, i.e., all subjects except Drawing).
* Subject-specific qualifications as per notification.
* Must know Kannada (studied as first or second language up to SSLC).
* Age 18–45 years (General); relaxation per Karnataka rules.

2. Complete One-Time Registration (OTR) if not done.
3. Select "KREIS Teacher Recruitment 2026" — choose KK cadre or RPC cadre.
4. Fill application with personal, educational, subject, and TET details.
5. Upload photo, signature, B.Ed. certificate, TET certificate.
6. Pay ₹500 (Gen/OBC) or ₹250 (SC/ST/Cat-1/PwBD) online.
7. Submit before 13 August 2026 (fee by 14 August).
