Overview
Manipur Staff Selection Commission (MSSC) has issued Advertisement No. 02/2026 for 80 Special Primary Teacher posts on a regular basis in the Education (S) Department, Government of Manipur. The posts are Group-C Non-Gazetted at Pay Level 6. Applications open at 5:00 PM on 31 July 2026 and close at 5:00 PM on 20 August 2026, after which the link is disabled and no other mode of submission is entertained. One condition rules out most applicants before qualifications are even considered: only candidates already sponsored by their concerned Employment Exchange in Manipur may apply, and portal registration parameters must match those sponsorship credentials. Candidates must also be permanent residents of Manipur, or able to prove that a parent or direct-line ancestor is a permanent resident, and must be able to speak Manipuri or a Tribal dialect of the state. The 80 posts break down as UR 42, ST 24, OBC(M) 10, OBC(MP) 3 and SC 1, with one post each earmarked within that total for blindness and low vision, deaf and hard of hearing, and locomotor disability categories. Selection is by a single Computer Based Test at Imphal, Churachandpur or Senapati. The paper carries 100 MCQs for 100 marks over 75 minutes, split as 50 General Knowledge, 25 Basic Mathematics and 25 English Language, all at Class XII level, with one mark per question and no negative marking. PwD candidates using a scribe receive 20 minutes extra per hour, taking the duration to 100 minutes. Provisional answer keys are published soon after the test with a 3-day online objection window at ₹100 per challenged question. Where the exam runs across multiple shifts, marks are normalised, and ties are broken first on CBT marks, then on date of birth favouring older candidates, then alphabetically.
