Mizoram PSC Junior Scientific Officer 2026 — 12 Posts

The Mizoram Public Service Commission (MPSC) has released Advertisement No. 18 of 2026-2027 for the recruitment of 12 Junior Scientific Officers under the Directorate of Forensic Science Laboratory, Home Department, Government of Mizoram. The vacancies are spread across seven forensic disciplines — DNA, Fingerprint, Chemistry, Ballistics and Toolmarks, Questioned Documents, Photography, and Cyber Forensic. Interested and eligible candidates can apply online through the Commission's portal. Each Junior Scientific Officer post is classified as Group 'B' (Non-Gazetted) and carries pay at Level-7 of the Pay Matrix. Beyond the postgraduate qualification in the relevant discipline, applicants must have computer proficiency as prescribed under the Mizoram service rules and must clear the Mizo language proficiency test unless exempted. Working experience in a recognized forensic science laboratory is considered desirable for all posts. Applicants must be between 18 and 30 years of age as on 1 August 2026, with a five-year upper age relaxation for SC and ST candidates. The online application window is open from 24 July 2026 to 27 August 2026 up to 4:00 PM, and candidates must complete the One-Time Registration on the MPSC online portal before applying. The application fee is payable online, and Persons with Disabilities are exempted from the payment.

3. Log in to your candidate account using your registered credentials.
4. Select the Junior Scientific Officer post and the forensic discipline you wish to apply for.

6. Upload the mandatory documents in the prescribed format.
7. Pay the application fee online, if applicable to your category.
8. Verify that all details are correct before final submission.
