Overview

The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS), an autonomous body under the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India, has released Advt. No. A-12011/3/2025-ESTB for 53 regular Group A, B, and C vacancies — Junior Assistant (33, largest cadre), Junior Accountant (9), Stenographer (5), Junior Programmer (3), and Deputy Director Medical (3). NBEMS is one of India's premier medical examination bodies responsible for conducting NEET-PG, NEET-SS, FMGE, DNB, and other national medical examinations. This is a permanent Central Government employment opportunity with excellent pay, job security, and career growth. Selection through Computer Based Test (200 MCQs, 200 marks, 3 hours, 0.25 negative marking), Skill/Typing/Shorthand Test (for Steno and Jr Assistant), Document Verification, and Medical Examination. Qualification

Junior Assistant (33 posts): 12th pass + computer proficiency. Stenographer (5 posts): 12th pass + shorthand 80 WPM (English) or 60 WPM (Hindi) + typing 35/25 WPM. Junior Accountant (9 posts): B.Com with Maths/Stats, or B.Sc with Stats. Junior Programmer (3 posts): B.Tech/BE/BCA in CS/IT/Electronics or DOEACC B/C level. Deputy Director Medical (3 posts): Recognized PG Medical degree (MD/MS/DNB).

Age Limit

Junior Assistant/Steno: 18–27 years; Junior Accountant: 18–30 years; Junior Programmer: 18–35 years; Deputy Director: 18–50 years. All as on 20 July 2026. Relaxation per Central Govt rules.

Eligibility

  • Junior Assistant (33): 12th pass from recognized board + computer proficiency (MS Office, typing).
  • Stenographer (5): 12th pass + shorthand speed 80 WPM (English) or 60 WPM (Hindi) + typing 35 WPM (English) or 25 WPM (Hindi).
  • Junior Accountant (9): Bachelor's degree with Mathematics or Statistics, OR B.Com.
  • Junior Programmer (3): B.Tech/BE/BCA in Computer Science, IT, Electronics or DOEACC B/C level.
  • Deputy Director Medical (3): Recognized PG Medical Degree (approved under IMC Act 1956).
  • Age varies by post (18–27 to 18–50). Relaxation per Central Govt rules.
