NCRA Project Administrative, Technical & Trainee Recruitment 2026 — 22 Posts, Apply by 31 Aug (Maharashtra)

National Centre for Radio Astrophysics (NCRA), Pune, a centre of the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (TIFR) under the Department of Atomic Energy, has released Recruitment 2026 under Advt No. 2026/09 for 22 posts across administrative, technical and trainee categories. NCRA operates the Giant Metrewave Radio Telescope (GMRT), the world's largest radio telescope at metre wavelengths, and the Ooty Radio Telescope (ORT); five of the notified posts are specifically for the SKA (Square Kilometre Array) India project. Selected candidates will be posted at NCRA's Pune or Khodad campuses, supporting SKA project administration and technical operations (3-year tenure for SKA posts) or undergoing training in library, administrative, electronics or electrical trade roles (1-2 year non-absorbed trainee tenure). • Project Administrative Officer (2 posts): Graduate with 60% aggregate, plus Diploma/Degree/Certificate in Management or Administration, PC proficiency, 5 years' Level 6-equivalent service
• Project Administrative Assistant (1 post): Graduate with 55% aggregate, word processing/database/accounting proficiency, 3 years' experience in Accounts/Purchase/Stores/General Admin
• Project Technical Assistant (Low Hardware, 3 posts): Science Graduate or Diploma in Engineering (Electronics/allied, 60%), PC knowledge, 1 year hardware maintenance experience
• Project Technical Assistant (OMC, 2 posts): Same qualification as Low Hardware
• Project Technical Assistant (SRC, 3 posts): Science Graduate or Diploma in Engineering (Electrical/Electronics/Computers/Network, 60%), 1 year maintaining large computer systems, Python/programming, UNIX/Linux knowledge
• Engineer Trainee - Servo (2 posts): BE/B.Tech in Electronics & Communication/Electronics Engineering, minimum 60%
• Library Trainee (1 post): Graduate plus B.Lib.I.Sc or M.Lib.I.Sc, 0–2 years' experience
• Administrative Trainee (6 posts): Graduate with typing and PC application knowledge, fluency in English desirable
• Tradesman Trainee Electrical (2 posts): NTC/NAC (NCVT) in Electrical/Electrician trade, 60% aggregate, mandatory Electrical Wireman License
