Is OPSC Assistant Public Prosecutor Recruitment 2026 out? Yes, the notification (Notice No. 4696/PSC, dated 20 August 2026) is officially live, and online applications open on 28 August 2026. The Odisha Public Service Commission is recruiting law graduates for the post of Assistant Public Prosecutor under the Home Department, Government of Odisha, to strengthen the State Prosecution Service across the state's district courts. Out of the 172 total vacancies, 58 posts are reserved for women, with the category-wise breakup standing at UR-86, SEBC-23, SC-27 and ST-36. Horizontal reservation is additionally provided for Ex-Servicemen (9 posts), Sports Persons (2 posts) and Persons with Disabilities (8 posts, further broken down across four disability categories). Selection is a rigorous three-stage process: a Preliminary Examination for screening, a Main Written Examination across four papers covering General English, Criminal Major Laws, Criminal Minor Laws and Miscellaneous Laws, and a final Interview/Personality Test, with the combined Main Examination and Interview marks (650 total) determining the final merit list. Eligible law graduates with at least 2 years of practising-advocate experience and working knowledge of Odia can apply online at opsc.gov.in from 28 August 2026 to 28 September 2026 (5:00 PM).
