OSSSC Nursing Officer 2026 — District Cadre, Odisha Health Dept. (5,989 Posts)

The Odisha Sub-Ordinate Staff Selection Commission (OSSSC) has released Advt. No. IIE-54/2026-1962/OSSSC for a massive 5,989 Nursing Officer (District Cadre Group-C) posts under the Health & Family Welfare Department, Government of Odisha. Vacancies are spread across all 30 districts of Odisha. This is one of the largest healthcare recruitment drives in India in 2026. Candidates must indicate up to 3 district preferences during application. Selected candidates will be posted and transferred within the chosen district. Selection is through a Written Examination (offline OMR mode) followed by Document Verification.

12th (10+2) + GNM Diploma OR B.Sc Nursing from a recognized institution + registered with Odisha Nursing & Midwives Council (or Indian Nursing Council)

21–38 years; relaxation per Odisha Govt rules

• Passed 10+2 with Diploma in GNM, OR B.Sc Nursing from a Medical College/institution recognized by the Indian Nursing Council.
• Must hold valid Registration/Renewal Certificate from the Odisha Nurses & Midwives Council as on the date of application.
• Must be able to read, write, and speak Odia fluently.
• Age 21–38 years (relaxation per Odisha Govt rules for reserved categories).

1. Go to osssc.gov.in and click "Apply Online."
2. New users: register with mobile and email. Existing users: log in.
3. Select "Nursing Officer 2026" and fill the application form.
4. Upload photo, signature, and required documents.
5. Pay fee online and submit. Registration by 06 July, application by 13 July 2026.
