Sports Authority of India (SAI) Assistant Coach 2026 — Various Sports Disciplines (100 Posts)

The Sports Authority of India (SAI), under the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, has released the notification for 100 Assistant Coach posts across various sports disciplines including Athletics, Badminton, Boxing, Cricket, Football, Hockey, Kabaddi, Swimming, Weightlifting, Wrestling, and more. Selected candidates will coach athletes at SAI centres and national camps across India. This is a Group-B gazetted post with an attractive pay scale under the 7th CPC. Selection is based on educational qualifications, sports achievements, coaching experience, and interview.

Graduate/Post-Graduate degree in Physical Education, OR Bachelor's degree with NIS Diploma in the relevant sport discipline, OR equivalent qualification from a recognized institute. Must have represented the State/University or higher level in the relevant sport.

As per Central Government norms (typically 21–35 years); relaxation per rules

• Graduate/PG in Physical Education, OR Bachelor's degree with NIS (National Institute of Sports) Diploma in the relevant sport, OR equivalent recognized qualification.
• Must have represented State/University or higher level in the relevant sport discipline.
• Coaching experience preferred.
