TNSTC Apprentice Recruitment 2026 — 1518 Posts, Apply by 28 August (Tamil Nadu)

TNSTC Apprentice Recruitment 2026 is out. Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation (TNSTC), along with Metropolitan Transport Corporation (MTC) Chennai and State Express Transport Corporation (SETC) Tamil Nadu, has jointly released the Apprentice Recruitment 2026-27 notification for 1,518 apprenticeship training slots across seven regions. The engagement covers three streams: 457 Graduate Apprentice (Engineering), 438 Technician (Diploma) Apprentice, and 623 Graduate Apprentice (Non-Engineering) positions. This is a large Tamil Nadu Sarkari Naukri 2026 opportunity for fresh engineering, diploma and general degree holders to train with the state's public transport corporations. Selected candidates undergo one year of apprenticeship training under the Apprenticeship (Amendment) Act, 1973, and receive a monthly stipend of ₹12,300 for Graduate Apprentices and ₹10,900 for Technician (Diploma) Apprentices. Selection is done by the Board of Apprenticeship Training (Southern Region) on the basis of the percentage of marks in the qualifying examination, with no written test — shortlisted candidates are called for certificate verification at the TNSTC Trichy Region office. Eligibility is open to candidates from Tamil Nadu who passed their qualifying degree or diploma in 2022 to May 2026. The TNSTC Apprentice 2026 online application is available from 28 July 2026 to 28 August 2026 through the NATS portal at nats.education.gov.in. There is no application fee. • Graduate Apprentice (Engineering) – 457 posts: First Class regular full-time Degree in Engineering/Technology (Mechanical/Automobile, Civil, Electrical & Electronics, CSE/IT)
• Technician (Diploma) Apprentice – 438 posts: Regular full-time Diploma in Engineering/Technology in the relevant discipline
• Graduate Apprentice (Non-Engineering) – 623 posts: Regular full-time Degree in Arts/Science/Commerce/Humanities (BA/BSc/BCom/BBA/BBM/BCA etc.) from a UGC-approved university
• Qualifying degree/diploma must have been passed in 2022, 2023, 2024, 2025 or May 2026, and the candidate must hail from Tamil Nadu

As per Apprenticeship Rules. No specific minimum or maximum age is stated in the notification.

• Graduate Apprentice (Engineering): First Class regular full-time B.E./B.Tech in the relevant discipline
• Technician (Diploma) Apprentice: Regular full-time Diploma in Engineering/Technology in the relevant discipline
• Graduate Apprentice (Non-Engineering): Regular full-time BA/BSc/BCom/BBA/BBM/BCA from a UGC-approved university
• Qualifying examination passed in 2022, 2023, 2024, 2025 or May 2026
• Candidate must hail from Tamil Nadu
• Candidates who have already done or are undergoing apprenticeship, or have one year or more of relevant experience, are not eligible
• Age as per Apprenticeship Rules

• Graduate Apprentices (Engineering & Non-Engineering): ₹12,300 per month
• Technician (Diploma) Apprentices: ₹10,900 per month

1. Visit the National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS) portal at https://nats.education.gov.in
2. New candidates click Student, then Student Register, and complete the form to generate a 12-digit Enrolment Number
3. Already-enrolled candidates click Student, then Student Login (use Forgot Password to reset if needed)
4. Log in with your registered email ID and password and complete the application form
5. Under "Apply against advertised vacancies," search for the relevant corporation (TNSTC Villupuram, Kumbakonam, Salem, Madurai, Tirunelveli, MTC Chennai or SETC Tamil Nadu)
6. Click Apply for your chosen corporation and stream
7. Upload the Provisional Certificate or Consolidated Mark Sheet as required
8. Enter your percentage of marks or CGPA x 10 accurately, as candidature is not considered without it
9. Confirm the application status shows as "Applied"
10. Submit before 28 August 2026 and retain a copy for future reference
