The Government of Telangana has officially granted permission to the Telangana State Level Police Recruitment Board (TSLPRB) to fill a grand total of 7,437 direct recruitment vacancies across four departments — Police Department (SI, ASI, Constable — largest share at 6,180+ posts), Fire Disaster Response Emergency & Civil Defence Department (Fire Fighter, Station Fire Officer), Prisons & Correctional Services Department (Deputy Jailor, Warder), and Special Protection Force (SPF Constable, SPF SI). This approval was announced via an official press note dated 05 July 2026. IMPORTANT: The detailed recruitment notification with application dates, eligibility details, and online application link has NOT been released yet — it is expected shortly. Once released, applications will be accepted online through the official TSLPRB website (tgprb.in). This is one of the largest state police recruitment drives in India for 2026 — bigger than Karnataka Police (5,591 posts). Selection through Preliminary Written Test (PWT), Physical Measurement Test (PMT), Physical Efficiency Test (PET), Final Written Exam, Document Verification, and Medical Examination.
