UCSL Recruitment 2026 is out — Udupi Cochin Shipyard Limited has released three separate notifications dated 11 August 2026 for a combined 31 vacancies: 8 Assistant Manager posts, 13 Supervisor posts, and 10 Workmen posts covering Office Assistant, Draftsman, Technician, and Store Keeper. Assistant Manager (Electrical): Degree in Electrical, Electronics, or Electronics & Communication Engineering, minimum 60% marks, plus minimum 3 years' post-qualification experience in Electrical/Electrical Design/Quality Control/Outfitting/Utility & Maintenance in Ship Building, Ship Repair, Marine, Port, Engineering, or Government/Semi-Government organisations. Assistant Manager (Mechanical): Degree in Mechanical, Marine, or Naval Architecture Engineering, minimum 60% marks, plus minimum 3 years' post-qualification experience in Quality Control/Machinery/Hull Fabrication/Hull Erection/Piping/Installation & Commissioning/Outfitting/Accommodation Outfitting. Supervisor (Mechanical): 3-year Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, OR ITI (NTC) in Welding/Sheet Metal Worker/Bench Fitter/Fitter/Plumber trade, plus 7 years' (Diploma) or 15 years' (ITI) experience including minimum supervisory-capacity period. Supervisor (Electrical): 3-year Diploma in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, OR ITI (NTC) in Electrical/Electronic trade, plus 7 years' (Diploma) or 15 years' (ITI) experience including minimum supervisory-capacity period. Supervisor (Finance): Bachelor's Degree in Commerce/Business Management/Business Administration, minimum 60% marks, plus minimum 7 years' Finance & Accounts experience, including minimum 2 years supervisory. Office Assistant: Bachelor's Degree in Arts/Science/Commerce/Business Administration/Computer Applications, minimum 60% marks, plus minimum 2 years' office/data entry experience. Draftsman (Mechanical): 3-year Diploma in Mechanical/Marine/Naval Architecture Engineering, minimum 60% marks, plus 2 years' drafting experience for ship machinery/outfit systems. Draftsman (Electrical): 3-year Diploma in Electrical/Electrical & Electronics/Instrumentation & Communication Engineering, minimum 60% marks, plus 2 years' drafting experience for ship electrical systems. Technician (Electrical): SSLC pass, ITI (NTC), and NAC in Electrician trade, plus minimum 2 years' experience in substation operation/HT-LT switchgear/transformer maintenance. Store Keeper: Graduate with PG Diploma in Materials Management, OR 3-year Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical/Electrical/Electronics/Mechatronics/Marine/Shipbuilding), plus minimum 2 years' storekeeping experience.

Assistant Manager & Workmen: Maximum 30 years (born on/after 02 September 1996), with SC/ST +5 years and Ex-servicemen relaxation, capped at 40 years after all relaxations. Supervisor: Maximum 45 years (born on/after 02 September 1981), with OBC +3 years, SC +5 years, and Ex-servicemen relaxation, capped at 50 years after all relaxations. Age reckoned as on 01 September 2026 for all notifications.

• Supervisor: Diploma (7 years' experience) or ITI (15 years' experience) including minimum supervisory period; Supervisor (Finance) requires B.Com/BBM/BBA with 7 years' finance experience
• Workmen: Post-specific Bachelor's Degree, Diploma, or ITI+NAC qualification with 2 years' relevant experience
• Age: 30 years (Assistant Manager/Workmen), 45 years (Supervisor), as on 1 September 2026, with category-wise relaxation
• This is a fixed-term contractual engagement (5-year consolidated pay progression), not confirmed permanent employment from day one

Assistant Manager: ₹400 (non-refundable, plus bank charges), SC/ST exempted. Supervisor: ₹300 (non-refundable, plus bank charges), SC/ST/PwBD exempted. Workmen: ₹300 (non-refundable, plus bank charges), SC/ST/PwBD exempted.

Assistant Manager: ₹49,500 to ₹54,540 per month (consolidated, rising annually over the 5-year contract). Supervisor: ₹40,650 to ₹44,164 per month (consolidated, rising annually). Workmen: ₹25,000 to ₹29,520 gross per month, depending on post.
