UPSC Civil Services Prelims Result 2026 — 13,343 Qualified for Mains, Download PDF

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) declared the Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination 2026 result on 15 June 2026. A total of 13,343 candidates have been shortlisted for the Civil Services (Main) Examination 2026 against 1,016 vacancies across IAS, IPS, IFS, and 18 other Group A and Group B Central Services. Out of 8,19,372 applicants, approximately 5,49,000 appeared for the Prelims held on 24 May 2026 across 83 cities and 2,072 centres. In a historic first, UPSC released the provisional answer key on 28 May 2026 — just 4 days after the exam. Qualified candidates must now fill the DAF-I (Detailed Application Form) from 19 June to 28 June 2026 on upsconline.nic.in with a fee of Rs 200 (free for Female, SC, ST, PwBD).
