UPSC Geo Scientist Mains Result 2026 — 85 Posts, Shortlisted for Interview, Key Released (All India)

Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has declared the Combined Geo-Scientist (Main) Examination 2026 result on 20 July 2026, shortlisting candidates for the Interview/Personality Test. A total of 85 vacancies are available under Advt No. 01/2026 GEOL, covering Group A and Group B scientific posts including Geologist, Hydrogeologist, Geophysicist, and Chemist positions in Central Government departments. The Mains examination was conducted on 20 and 21 June 2026. Candidates who qualified the Preliminary Examination (declared 02 March 2026) and appeared in the Mains can check their result on the official UPSC website at upsc.gov.in. The UPSC Geo Scientist Mains Result 2026 lists roll numbers of candidates shortlisted for the Personality Test/Interview, which is the final stage of the selection process. The candidature of shortlisted candidates is provisional and subject to verification of original documents at the time of interview. UPSC will release the interview schedule, e-summon letter, and Detailed Application Form (DAF) filling instructions on its website in due course. Candidates who have been shortlisted must keep all original certificates ready for age, educational qualifications, community, physical disability, and EWS status verification. Mark sheets for all candidates will be made available on the UPSC website within 15 days of the final result declaration (after completion of the Personality Test). The final merit list will be based on combined marks in Mains Examination and Personality Test.
