Overview
Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UPSSSC), Lucknow, on behalf of the Directorate of Animal Husbandry, Government of Uttar Pradesh, has released UPSSSC Veterinary Pharmacist Recruitment 2026 for 1,308 posts under Advertisement No. 18-Pariksha/2026. Is UPSSSC Veterinary Pharmacist Recruitment 2026 out? Yes — the notification was published on 14 August 2026, making this one of the largest state government paramedical recruitment drives in Uttar Pradesh this year, aimed at strengthening veterinary healthcare delivery across the state. Selected Veterinary Pharmacists will support veterinary clinical operations under the Directorate of Animal Husbandry, assisting in animal healthcare delivery, dispensing veterinary medicines, and supporting livestock treatment across Uttar Pradesh. The selection process for UPSSSC Veterinary Pharmacist 2026 consists solely of a written Main Examination — shortlisting for the Main Exam is based on the candidate's normalized PET-2025 score, category-wise, up to 15 times the number of advertised vacancies. The Main Exam is a single objective paper of 100 questions carrying 100 marks, covering subject-related veterinary knowledge (65 marks), Computer & IT concepts (15 marks), and General Knowledge of Uttar Pradesh (20 marks), with ¼ negative marking per wrong answer. The salary for UPSSSC Veterinary Pharmacist 2026 is Pay Level-5, ₹29,200 to ₹92,300 per month. The UPSSSC Veterinary Pharmacist 2026 online application is available at upsssc.gov.in. Registration and fee deposit run from 14 September 2026 to 5 October 2026, with fee reconciliation and application correction permitted until 12 October 2026. Application fee is just ₹25 (online processing fee) for all categories, since candidates are already PET-2025 registered. Candidates must read the complete official UPSSSC Advt. No. 18-Pariksha/2026 notification PDF, available at upsssc.gov.in, before applying, since eligibility is entirely tied to a candidate's PET-2025 score and registration.
Qualification
High School and Intermediate (Biology stream) from a UP Board or an equivalent examination recognised by the government, along with a 2-year 3-month diploma in Veterinary Pharmacy from a university or institution established by law in India. Registration with a competent council/institution is required if available; however, per an Additional Chief Secretary (Animal Husbandry) letter dated 20 May 2026, the Veterinary Pharmacy Council does not currently exist in Uttar Pradesh, so registration is not required at present. Candidates must have working knowledge of Hindi in Devanagari script. Only candidates who appeared in the Preliminary Eligibility Test (PET) 2025 and hold a valid, non-negative normalized or absolute PET score are eligible to apply for this Main Examination — the PET score is used purely for shortlisting into the Main Exam and is not itself the final qualifying test.
