B.E./B.Tech in Civil, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (as applicable to the post), with a relevant post-graduate qualification for certain posts; MBA in Personnel Management for HR posts; or a Master's degree in Geology/Applied Geology for the Chief Geologist post. Each post requires 13 to 15 years of relevant post-qualification experience as specified in the notification. All appointments are on deputation basis.

• Chief Engineer L-II (Hydro-Mechanical / Electro-Mechanical / Civil Design-Water Resources): B.E./B.Tech in the relevant branch + 13 years experience
• General Manager (HR): MBA in Personnel Management + 15 years experience
• Chief Manager L-II (HR): MBA in Personnel Management + 13 years experience
• Maximum age 56 years; all posts are on deputation basis
