Why Apply for Scale-II/III?
These posts are less competitive than IBPS PO or IBPS SO because they require experience, which filters out fresh graduates. If you have 2-5 years of banking/professional experience, your chances of selection are significantly higher here. Many working professionals in agriculture, IT, and law clear this exam with 2-3 months of preparation.
Preparation Tips
For GBO/Scale-III: Focus on Financial Awareness (banking terminology, RBI policies, balance sheet concepts, NPA, CRAR, Basel norms), Reasoning (moderate difficulty), Quantitative Aptitude (basic level), and Computer Knowledge.
For Specialist Officers: Study your domain thoroughly. IT Officers should revise DBMS, Networking, Cyber Security, and Cloud Computing. Law Officers should focus on Banking Regulations Act, NI Act, SARFAESI, IBC, and Contract Act. Agriculture Officers should cover crop science, soil science, agricultural economics, and rural development schemes.
