Airports Authority of India (AAI), a Schedule "A" Miniratna Category-I Public Sector Enterprise under the Ministry of Civil Aviation, has released AAI Apprentice Recruitment 2026-27 through its Regional Headquarters at Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar International Airport, Nagpur, under Advt No. 01/2026/APPRENTICE (Graduate/Diploma)/Nagpur, for 8 Graduate and Diploma Apprentice seats across Engineering, HR, and Finance disciplines. This is a one-year apprenticeship training opportunity under the Apprentices Act, restricted to candidates domiciled in Maharashtra, in or near Nagpur. Selected apprentices will undergo hands-on training at Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar International Airport, Nagpur, across Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, HR, Finance, and Mechanical Engineering functions depending on the discipline. Candidates aged 18 to 26 years as on 31 July 2026, holding a relevant Degree or Diploma with minimum 50% marks (45% for SC/ST), who passed their qualifying examination on or after 1 April 2022, are eligible to apply. Selection is based on the percentage of marks obtained in the qualifying examination, followed by document verification/interview and a medical fitness certificate at the time of joining.   • Graduate Apprentice (Finance): Degree in Commerce (B.Com) or Bachelor of Business Administration, minimum 50% marks (45% for SC/ST)
  • Diploma Apprentice (Engineering — Civil): 3-year Diploma in Civil Engineering from an AICTE-recognised institution, minimum 50% marks (45% for SC/ST)
  • Diploma Apprentice (Engineering — Electrical): 3-year Diploma in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, minimum 50% marks (45% for SC/ST)
  • Diploma Apprentice (Engineering — Mechanical): 3-year Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, minimum 50% marks (45% for SC/ST)

Eligibility

  • Age 18 to 26 years as on 31.07.2026, with relaxation for SC/ST/PwBD/OBC as specified
  • Candidates must be domiciled in Maharashtra, in Nagpur or the nearby area of Nagpur
  • Candidates who have already completed, terminated midway, or are currently pursuing an apprenticeship elsewhere at the same qualification level are not eligible
  • Candidates with 1 year or more of training/job experience after attaining the essential qualification are not eligible
  • Applying for more than one discipline results in automatic rejection of the application
  • OBC candidates must submit a Non-Creamy Layer (NCL) certificate in the prescribed proforma
