Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Agriculture / Horticulture / Community Science / Veterinary Science relevant to the post (Sericulture posts: Bachelor's in Sericulture or Agriculture).
- Master's degree in the relevant discipline with minimum 55% marks or MCGPA of 3.00/4.00 or 7.00/10.00, from an Indian or foreign university.
- NET qualified; NET is waived for Ph.D. holders (course credit system, UGC Regulations 2009) with at least two full-length publications of NAAS rating not less than 5.
- Discipline-specific variations: Agro-meteorology (Master's in Meteorology/Agricultural Meteorology), Agril. Statistics (Master's in Statistics/Agricultural Statistics), Computer Science (Master's in Computer Application/IT/ICT/Computer Engg./ECE/Computer Science), Food Science & Technology (Master's in Food Technology/Food Engg./Dairy or Post Harvest Technology), ABM (Master's in Business Administration or MBA/PGDM from IIM-level institutes with 2 years' experience).
- API-based PBAS score of at least 44 out of 80 (General) or 40 out of 80 (SC/ST) required for an interview call.
- No mandatory teaching experience for Assistant Professor except the ABM MBA/PGDM route (2 years' work experience).
- Only permanent residents of Assam are eligible.
- In-service candidates must submit an NOC from their parent department or organisation.
