Overview
The Arunachal Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC) has released Advertisement No. 04/2026, dated 01.09.2026, inviting online applications for the Common Recruitment Examination for Group-A & Group-B Gazetted (Technical) Posts–2026 (Part-I). A total of 155 posts are on offer across five technical posts — Agriculture Development Officer, Horticulture Development Officer, Veterinary Officer, Assistant Director (Sericulture), and Dairy Development Officer — under various departments of the Government of Arunachal Pradesh. Only citizens of India who are Permanent Residents of Arunachal Pradesh and hold an Arunachal Pradesh Scheduled Tribe (APST) Certificate are eligible to apply. Candidates must also be able to speak an Indigenous Tribal Language of Arunachal Pradesh. Selection is based on a Written Examination followed by an Interview/Viva-voce, with a screening Recruitment Test conducted first if applications exceed the required ratio. Candidates can apply online from 10.09.2026 (5:00 PM) to 30.09.2026 (5:00 PM). Application fee is ₹200, online mode only, with PwD candidates exempted. Qualification
- Agriculture Development Officer (Group-A): Bachelor of Science in Agriculture from a recognized university
- Horticulture Development Officer (Group-A): Bachelor of Science in Horticulture from a recognized university
- Veterinary Officer (Group-A): Bachelor of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry, with registration in the Arunachal Pradesh State Veterinary Council mandatory at application or by document verification
- Assistant Director (Sericulture) (Group-A): Bachelor's degree in Science with Post Graduate Diploma in Sericulture from a recognized university/institute
- Dairy Development Officer (Group-B): Bachelor of Technology in Dairy Technology or equivalent (B.Sc. Dairying/Dairy Technology, B.Sc./B.Tech Food Technology, B.Sc. Microbial & Food Technology, B.Tech Bio-Technology)
Age Limit
- Minimum age: 21 years; Maximum age: 35 years, as on the last date of receipt of application, 30 September 2026
- Age relaxation: 5 years for APST category; 10 years for PwBD; 15 years for APST-PwBD candidates
- Age concession for regular State Government employees applies as per prevailing government rules
Eligibility
- Permanent Residence Criterion: Candidate must be a citizen of India and an inhabitant of Arunachal Pradesh holding a valid Permanent Residence Certificate (PRC)
- Indigenous Status and APST Criterion: Candidate must be an original inhabitant of Arunachal Pradesh and hold an Arunachal Pradesh Scheduled Tribe (APST) Certificate
- Indigenous Tribal Language Proficiency Criterion: Candidate must be able to speak an Indigenous Tribal Language of Arunachal Pradesh and possess working knowledge of the local indigenous tribes
- Age between 21 and 35 years as on 30 September 2026, with relaxation up to 15 years for certain categories
- Candidates in the final semester of the qualifying course may also apply, but must submit proof of having passed on or before the date of interview
