BBMB Apprentice Recruitment 2026 — 71 Posts, Apply Online by 10 August (Punjab)

Bhakra Beas Management Board (BBMB), functioning under the Ministry of Jal Shakti, Government of India, has released Apprentice Recruitment 2026 for 71 posts across various ITI trades. BBMB manages India's critical northern hydroelectric infrastructure including Bhakra Dam, Pong Dam, Pandoh Dam, and Beas-Satluj Link project, providing power and water to Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Rajasthan, and Delhi. Selected apprentices will undergo one year of structured on-the-job training at BBMB project sites and facilities in Punjab and Himachal Pradesh under the Apprentices Act 1961. Training at a Central Government organisation of BBMB's stature provides invaluable hands-on technical experience, industry exposure, and significantly improves future employment prospects in power and infrastructure sectors. Applications must be submitted through the National Apprenticeship Training Scheme portal at apprenticeshipindia.gov.in before 10 August 2026. No application fee is charged. Candidates must not have previously undergone apprenticeship in the same trade before applying.

ITI certificate (NCVT/SCVT) in relevant trade from a recognised Industrial Training Institute. Eligible trades include Electrician, Fitter, Welder, Mechanic (Motor Vehicle) and other trades as per official notification. Minimum 50% marks in 10th (Matriculation) from a recognised board mandatory.

14 to 24 years. SC / ST relaxation — up to 26 years, as per the Apprentices Act 1961 and Central Government rules.

Stipend as per Apprentices Act 1961: ₹7,700 to ₹9,600 per month depending on trade and year of training. No other allowances applicable during apprenticeship period.
