BDL Apprentice 2026 — 147 Posts, Apply by 06 Aug (Telangana)

Bharat Dynamics Limited (BDL), a Miniratna Category-I Central Public Sector Enterprise under the Ministry of Defence, has released its Graduate and Diploma Apprenticeship Training notification for 2026 under Advertisement No. BDL/0183/04/GRADUATE & DIPLOMA, dated 22 July 2026. A total of 147 apprenticeship seats are on offer at the Kanchanbagh Unit in Hyderabad, split as 122 Graduate Apprentice and 25 Diploma Apprentice positions. BDL manufactures guided missile systems and allied defence equipment for the Indian armed forces, which makes this one of the few apprenticeship routes into live defence production work. Mechanical Engineering carries the largest share with 69 graduate and 13 diploma seats, followed by Electronics and Communication Engineering with 43 graduate and 6 diploma seats. Electrical and Electronics Engineering accounts for 6 graduate and 2 diploma places, while Civil Engineering and Computer Science or IT have 2 graduate seats each. Two diploma seats are reserved for Diploma in Computers and Commercial Practice. Graduate apprentices receive a stipend of ₹12,300 per month and diploma apprentices ₹10,900 per month, with half paid by BDL and half by the Board of Apprenticeship Training through direct benefit transfer. Reservation for SC, ST, OBC, EWS, PwBD and CAP candidates applies as per the Apprentices Act 1961. Applying for this Telangana government job takes two steps rather than one. Candidates first register as an apprentice on the National Apprenticeship Training Scheme portal at nats.education.gov.in, then email their resume together with the NATS enrolment ID to BDL. Registration on the portal alone is not treated as a complete application. The last date is 06 August 2026 and there is no application fee for any category. • Graduate Apprentice: B.E. or B.Tech passed in 2022 or later in the notified engineering discipline
• Diploma Apprentice: Diploma passed in 2022 or later in the notified technical discipline
• Notified disciplines: Civil Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering or Information Technology
• Diploma in Computers and Commercial Practice (DCCP) is additionally notified for the Diploma category only
• Candidates who passed before 2022 are not eligible under the Apprentices Act 1961

As per the Apprentices Act 1961

• B.E. or B.Tech in Civil, Electrical and Electronics, Electronics and Communication, Mechanical, or Computer Science and IT, passed in 2022 or later, for Graduate Apprentice
• Diploma in the corresponding technical discipline passed in 2022 or later, for Diploma Apprentice
• Diploma in Computers and Commercial Practice accepted for the two DCCP seats
• Candidates who completed their qualification before 2022 are not eligible
• Reservation for SC, ST, OBC, EWS, PwBD and CAP candidates applies as per the Apprentices Act 1961
• Candidates must be able to produce original SSC, degree or diploma marksheets, provisional certificate, community certificate and PwBD certificate for verification

No application fee for any category

• Graduate Apprentice: ₹12,300 per month
• Diploma Apprentice: ₹10,900 per month
• 50 per cent of the stipend is paid by BDL and 50 per cent by the Board of Apprenticeship Training through DBT

1. Visit the National Apprenticeship Training Scheme portal at nats.education.gov.in and open the student registration page
2. Complete apprentice registration with your Aadhaar, academic and bank details, and note down the enrolment ID generated
3. Search for Bharat Dynamics Limited, Kanchanbagh, Hyderabad under establishment search and select your notified subject field
4. Download and read the official notification dated 22 July 2026 from bdl-india.in under the apprentice-connect section
5. Prepare a resume or CV carrying your NATS enrolment ID, discipline, year of passing and contact details
6. Email the resume together with the enrolment ID to the BDL apprentice cell address given in the official notification
7. Retain a copy of the NATS registration confirmation and the sent email for your records
8. Keep original SSC, degree or diploma marksheets, provisional certificate, community certificate and PwBD certificate ready for verification
9. Complete both the portal registration and the email submission on or before 06 August 2026
