BLW Sports Quota 2026-27 — 25 Posts, Apply by 12 Oct (UP)

Banaras Locomotive Works (BLW), Varanasi, under Indian Railways, has released BLW Sports Quota Recruitment 2026-27 under Employment Notice No. Sports Quota/02/2026-27 for 25 posts against Sports Quota (Open Advertisement), across Basketball, Volleyball, Wrestling and Handball (Men). This Uttar Pradesh government job 2026 opportunity is open exclusively to Indian sportspersons meeting the prescribed sports achievement norms, with no reservation for SC/ST/OBC/EWS/PH/Ex-Servicemen for these posts. • Pay Level 5 posts: Degree/graduation or equivalent from a recognised university, plus Olympic Games (Senior Category) participation OR at least 3rd position in any Category-B Championship/event
• Pay Level 2 posts: 12th (+2 stage) or equivalent from a recognised Board/University, plus representation for the country in Category-B/C Championships, OR 3rd position in Category-C/National/State Games events, OR 1st position in Federation Cup (Senior Category)
• Pay Level 1 posts: 10th pass or ITI or equivalent from a recognised Board or NAC (NCVT), plus representation for the country in Category-C Championships, OR 3rd position in Federation Cup events, OR representing a state/equivalent unit with at least 8th position (except Marathon/Cross Country)
• Disciplines covered: Basketball (Men), Volleyball (Men), Wrestling (Men), Handball (Men) — a separate application, with separate fee, is required for each discipline

• Minimum age: 18 years; Maximum age: 25 years, as on 01 January 2027
• Candidates born between 01.01.2002 and 01.01.2009 (both dates inclusive) are eligible
• No relaxation in lower or upper age limit is permissible for any community

• Post-specific educational qualification and sports achievement norm as detailed in the Qualification field above — verify against the specific pay level and discipline before applying
• Age must be between 18 and 25 years as on 1 January 2027 (born between 1 January 2002 and 1 January 2009), with no relaxation for any community
• Sports achievement certificates must be from championships/events held on or after 1 April 2024, issued under the aegis of a recognised International/National/State Sports Promotion Board, and the sportsperson must remain active as on the date of appointment
• Discipline-specific validity conditions apply: Volleyball certificates from events on or after 25 June 2020, Handball from events on or after 5 September 2023, Wrestling from events on or after 10 March 2025
• A separate application and separate examination fee is required for each discipline/game a candidate wishes to apply for
• Selected candidates must submit a Service Bond of 5 years at appointment and undergo a 2-year probation period, along with passing the prescribed medical fitness standard

• General/Other candidates: Rs. 400/-
• SC, ST, Ex-Servicemen, PwBD, Minorities, Economically Backward Classes: Rs. 250/-
• Fee is refunded to candidates who actually appear in the trial

• Pay Level 5: Rs. 44,900 to Rs. 1,42,400 per month (as per 7th CPC)
• Pay Level 2: Rs. 21,700 to Rs. 69,100 per month
• Pay Level 1: Rs. 18,000 to Rs. 56,900 per month

3. Log in and fill up the Online Application Form carefully, following the general guidelines provided
4. Upload a scanned colour photograph (3.5 cm x 2.5 cm, JPG/JPEG/PNG, 100 DPI, taken within the last 3 months, without cap or sunglasses)
5. Upload a scanned signature (JPG/JPEG or PNG, 100 DPI)
6. Upload copies of essential documents: Date of Birth proof, Educational Qualification Certificate, Sports Achievement Certificate, Caste/Community Certificate (if applicable), NOC from employer (if applicable), Aadhaar Card, and fee deposit slip
7. Pay the applicable fee (Rs. 400 or Rs. 250) into BLW's designated SBI account (A/c No. 10852349060, IFSC SBIN0001868), then log in again to complete the application
8. Preview and submit the application, then take a printout of the completed form — this cannot be modified after final submission
9. Complete the process before 12 October 2026, the closing date for fee payment, document upload and submission
