South Eastern Railway Scouts & Guides Quota Recruitment 2026-27 — 10 Posts, Apply 07 Sep-06 Oct

South Eastern Railway (SER), Railway Recruitment Cell (RRC), has released the Scouts & Guides Quota Recruitment 2026-27 notification for eligible candidates. The recruitment is being conducted for filling 10 vacancies in Level-2 (Group C) and Level-1 (Erstwhile Group D) categories under the Scouts & Guides Quota. Candidates who do not possess the prescribed Scouts & Guides qualification are not eligible to apply for this recruitment. Selected candidates will be posted across South Eastern Railway zones and divisions. The selection process consists of a Written Test, Marks on Scouts & Guides Certificates, Document Verification, and Medical Examination. Eligible candidates up to five times the notified vacancies who secure minimum qualifying marks will be called for certificate verification, and final merit will be prepared based on written test marks and Scouts & Guides certificate marks combined. Eligible candidates can submit their online applications through the official RRC/SER website, from 07 September 2026 to 06 October 2026. Application fee is ₹500 for all candidates except exempted categories, and ₹250 for SC/ST/ESM/PwBD/Women/Minority/EBC candidates, with a partial refund issued after appearing in the written examination. • Level-2 (Group C): Passed 12th (+2 stage) or equivalent examination with minimum 50% marks from a recognized board (50% relaxed for SC/ST/ESM/PwBD candidates and candidates with higher qualifications from UGC recognized universities); OR 10th Pass from recognized board plus National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC)/ITI approved by NCVT. Scouts/Guides qualification mandatory
• Level-1 (Erstwhile Group D): 10th Pass or ITI or equivalent qualification, National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) granted by NCVT, Scouts/Guides qualification mandatory

• Level-2 (Group C): 18 to 30 Years
• Level-1 (Erstwhile Group D): 18 to 33 Years
• Age calculated as on 01 January 2027; relaxation applicable as per government rules for eligible categories

• Level-2 (Group C): Passed 12th (+2) or equivalent with minimum 50% marks (relaxed for SC/ST/ESM/PwBD and higher-qualified candidates), OR 10th Pass plus NAC/ITI approved by NCVT
• Level-1 (Erstwhile Group D): 10th Pass or ITI or equivalent, plus NAC granted by NCVT
• Scouts/Guides Qualification mandatory for both levels: President Scout/Guide/Rover/Ranger OR Himalayan Wood Badge (HWB) holder in any section; active member of Scouts Organization for the last 5 years; must have attended two National Level or All Indian Railways level events and two State Level events
• Age calculated as on 01 January 2027, with relaxation as per government rules

• All Candidates (except exempted categories): ₹500 (refund of ₹400 after appearing in written examination)
• SC/ST/ESM/PwBD/Women/Minority/EBC Candidates: ₹250 (refund of ₹250 after appearing in written examination)

• Level-2 (Group C): Pay Level-2, Grade Pay ₹1,900
• Level-1 (Erstwhile Group D): Pay Level-1, Grade Pay ₹1,800

9. Applications sent directly to RRC/SER by post or any other mode will not be accepted
