Eastern Coalfields ITI Apprentice Recruitment 2026 — 140 Posts, Apply Offline (West Bengal / Jharkhand)

Eastern Coalfields Limited (ECL), a Miniratna Category-I Central Government PSU under the Ministry of Coal, Government of India, has released the ECL ITI Apprentice Recruitment 2026 notification for 140 Trade Apprentice posts under the Apprentices Act, 1961. ECL operates coal mines across West Bengal and Jharkhand and is one of the major public sector employers in eastern India. ITI apprenticeship at ECL provides hands-on training in an active mining environment with monthly stipend under the National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme (NAPS). Selected ECL ITI Apprentices 2026 will undergo a one-year apprenticeship training in various engineering and technical trades at Eastern Coalfields' collieries and workshops spread across Sanctoria, West Bengal and Jharkhand. The selection process is based on merit in ITI qualification marks and Class 10th marks. No written examination is conducted. Stipend is paid monthly during the training period as per the Apprentices Act, 1961 rates. Applications for ECL ITI Apprentice Recruitment 2026 must be submitted by post — Speed Post or Registered Post — addressed to the designated authority at Eastern Coalfields Limited. The last date for receipt of applications is 28 July 2026. Candidates must read the complete official notification from easterncoal.gov.in before applying and ensure the application form reaches within the stipulated date. Applications sent by ordinary post or received after the last date will be summarily rejected.

ITI Certificate (NCVT/SCVT) in relevant trade (Fitter, Electrician, Welder, Mechanic, Turner, Machinist, and other applicable trades) from a recognised Industrial Training Institute. Minimum 50% marks in Class 10th (Matriculation/SSLC) from a recognised Board mandatory.

14 to 24 years as on the date of application. SC/ST — 5 years relaxation; OBC — 3 years relaxation as per Govt. of India rules.

2. Read the complete notification carefully including trade-wise vacancies, eligibility conditions, and application instructions
3. Download and print the prescribed application form from the notification or prepare as per the format given
4. Fill the application form clearly in capital letters with blue or black ink — personal details, educational qualification, ITI trade, and other required information
5. Attach self-attested photocopies of Class 10th certificate and marksheet, ITI certificate and marksheets, date of birth proof, category certificate if applicable, and passport-size photograph
6. Do not attach original documents — only self-attested photocopies
7. Prepare the envelope and superscribe it with "Application for ITI Trade Apprentice Recruitment 2026 — Trade: [Trade Name]"
8. Send the filled application form with all attachments by Speed Post or Registered Post to the designated address mentioned in the official ECL notification
9. Ensure the application reaches the office on or before the last date of 28 July 2026 — applications received late will be rejected
10. Keep a copy of the filled application form and postal receipt for future reference
