Employees' State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) Medical College & Hospital, Margao, Goa, under the Ministry of Labour & Employment, Government of India, has released ESIC Teaching Faculty & Senior Resident Recruitment 2026 under Advertisement No. 01 dated 24 August 2026 for 107 posts across Professor, Associate Professor, Assistant Professor, and Senior Resident cadres in 24 medical disciplines. This central government job invites MBBS/MD/MS/DNB or relevant PG Diploma holders meeting NMC (MCI) Teacher Eligibility Qualifications (TEQ), on a contractual basis for one year, renewable. Selected candidates under ESIC Margao Recruitment 2026 will teach and practise across disciplines such as Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry, Pharmacology, Pathology, Microbiology, Community Medicine, General Medicine, Pediatrics, Dermatology, Psychiatry, General Surgery, Orthopedics, ENT, Ophthalmology, Obstetrics & Gynecology, Anesthesiology, Radio-Diagnosis, Dentistry, Transfusion Medicine, ICU, Emergency Medicine, and Chest Medicine, with Senior Residents rotating through Medical ICU, Respiratory ICU, and Casualty as required. The selection process for ESIC Margao Recruitment 2026 is based on academic credentials and performance in a walk-in or online interview before the Selection Board, with no separate written examination. The salary for ESIC Margao Recruitment 2026 is ₹1,18,500 fixed basic pay plus allowances for Professor, ₹78,800 for Associate Professor, and ₹67,700 for both Assistant Professor and Senior Resident. • Emergency Medicine: PG in Medicine, Surgery, Anesthesiology, Critical Care Medicine, Orthopedics, Chest/Respiratory Medicine, Pulmonology, or Emergency Medicine/Emergency Medicine & Traumatology
• Chest Department: PG in Chest Medicine/Pulmonary Medicine/Respiratory Medicine
• ICU (Assistant Professor): PG in Critical Care Medicine, Pulmonary Medicine, Anesthesiology, Chest Medicine, or Internal Medicine
• Alternate route (Professor): MD/MS/DNB with NBE/DNB Institute Senior Consultant experience and minimum 3 years' PG teaching experience
• Alternate route (Associate Professor): MD/MS/DNB with 10 years' work experience at a Government hospital with 220+ beds, as Specialist/Medical Officer/Senior Resident etc.
• Alternate route (Assistant Professor, Route i): MD/MS/DNB with 2+ years' experience after PG degree, per the Associate Professor route criteria
• Alternate route (Assistant Professor, Route ii): PG Diploma with 6+ years' total experience at an NMC/NBE-recognised institute in the diploma specialty
• Anatomy/Physiology/Biochemistry/Microbiology/Pharmacology: M.Sc. + Ph.D. from a Medical/Health Sciences University eligible for Senior Resident; with 1 additional year of Senior Resident experience, eligible for Assistant Professor
• One year of Senior Residency from a teaching institute after PG qualification is required for entry-level Faculty posts (not required for Senior Resident posts); post-doctoral qualification holders are exempt from separate senior residency experience for Assistant Professor
• All selected candidates must pass the Basic Course in Biomedical Research within 2 years of joining, failing which further continuation or promotion is not possible

• Age is reckoned as on 31 August 2026
• Teaching Faculty (Professor/Associate Professor/Assistant Professor): Not exceeding 69 years
• Senior Resident — Clinical Subjects: Not exceeding 44 years
• Senior Resident — Non-Clinical/Laboratory Science Subjects: Not exceeding 49 years
• Age relaxation: 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC candidates, on submission of prescribed category certificate
• Maximum tenure of engagement: Till 70 years (Teaching Faculty), 45 years (Senior Resident-Clinical), 50 years (Senior Resident-Non-Clinical/Laboratory Science)

• MBBS/MD/MS/DNB/PG Diploma as per NMC (MCI) Teacher Eligibility Qualifications (TEQ), post-and-department-specific

• Age: 69 years max (Teaching Faculty); 44 years max (SR-Clinical); 49 years max (SR-Non-Clinical), with 5-year (SC/ST) and 3-year (OBC) relaxation
• Application fee: ₹500 (General), Nil (SC/ST/Female/ESIC Employee/Ex-Servicemen/PH)
• This is a contractual engagement for 1 year, renewable, with no PF/Pension/Gratuity/Seniority/Promotion benefits
• Senior Residents must deposit ₹20,000 security deposit at joining, forfeited if resigning within 1 year
• No private practice allowed after joining; must pass Basic Course in Biomedical Research within 2 years of joining

1. Download and fill the prescribed Application Format for the specific post and department, in CAPITAL letters, as issued with Advertisement No. 01 dated 24 August 2026, from esic.gov.in
2. Attach self-attested copies of all required documents, including the Demand Draft for the application fee if applicable — Class 10th certificate for DOB, MBBS marksheets/degree, MD/MS/DNB marksheets/degree, category certificate (if applicable), medical registration certificate, experience certificate, proof of publications, relieving certificate, and Aadhaar Card
3. For an online interview, email the scanned signed application form with documents to the official ESIC email address at least 1 day prior to the interview date, completing submission by 3:00 PM on 01 September 2026
4. For a walk-in (offline) interview, report directly with the duly filled application, required documents, and Demand Draft (if applicable) on the scheduled interview date for your department
5. Report at the Conference Room, 1st Floor, ESIC Hospital, Margao, Goa - 403601, between 09:00 AM and 10:30 AM on the applicable date
6. Appear before the Selection Board for the interview and document verification
7. Submit a separate application for each post applied for, in the prescribed format only, since incomplete or wrongly formatted applications will be summarily rejected
