GMC Mahabubnagar Recruitment 2026 — 149 Posts, Walk-in 15 Sep

The Office of the Director, Government Medical College, Mahabubnagar District (GMC Mahabubnagar), Telangana, has released a notification for 149 contract faculty posts across 22 departments, under Notification No. 02/GMC-MBNR/2026 dated 03 September 2026. • Professor: MD/MS/DNB in the concerned subject; 3 years as Associate Professor in that subject at a recognised medical institution (or equivalent Armed Forces specialist experience); 2 research publications after becoming Associate Professor; completed Basic Course in Biomedical Research; Basic Course in Medical Education where applicable. A Senior Consultant with 3 years as PG teacher of a broad/super specialty at an NBE-recognised government institute is also eligible.
• Associate Professor: MD/MS/DNB in the concerned subject; 4 years as Assistant Professor in the subject, or 5 years if appointed directly as Assistant Professor in a government institution (or equivalent Armed Forces specialist experience); 2 research publications after becoming Assistant Professor. A non-teaching Consultant/Specialist/Medical Officer with a PG medical degree and 10 years' experience in a 220+ bed government hospital is also eligible.
• Assistant Professor: MD/MS in the concerned subject; 1 year as Senior Resident in that subject at a recognised medical institution (relaxed for those already appointed directly as Assistant Professor before the current regulations; Tutor/Demonstrator experience with relevant PG qualification may count as equivalent); Armed Forces specialist routes also apply. Alternative routes include a non-teaching Consultant/Specialist/Medical Officer with 2 years' experience in a 220+ bed government hospital, diploma holders appointed as Senior Resident before 08-06-2017 with 4 years' total experience, or diploma holders with 6 years' cumulative experience as Specialist/Medical Officer in a government medical institution.
• Tutor: MBBS or equivalent degree, registered with the Telangana State Medical Council
• Junior Resident: MBBS or equivalent degree, registered with the Telangana State Medical Council
• All posts require MBBS and (where applicable) the additional PG qualification to be registered with the Telangana State Medical Council; outside-state candidates must register within one week of selection for their appointment to be confirmed
