GMC Nalgonda Recruitment 2026 — 57 Posts (Assoc./Asst. Professor, Tutor, CAS), Apply Offline 05-10 Sep

Government Medical College, Nalgonda (GMC Nalgonda), functioning under the Director of Medical Education (DME), Telangana State, has released a notification for contract recruitment to 57 faculty and medical officer posts, under Rc.No.156/GMC/NLG/2026, dated 01-09-2026. The posts on offer are Associate Professor (11), Assistant Professor (26), Tutor (11), and Civil Assistant Surgeon (CAS) (9), spread across 12 departments at the college and its attached Government General Hospital. Eligible candidates — MBBS/MD/MS/DNB holders registered with the Telangana State Medical Council — can apply by submitting a physical application at the Principal's office between 05-09-2026 and 10-09-2026, up to 2:00 PM. Selected candidates will teach and provide clinical services across departments including Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry, Pathology, Microbiology, Forensic Medicine, Community Medicine, Paediatrics, Radiology, OBG, and Emergency Medicine, on a purely temporary contract basis, up to 31.03.2027 or till the actual need ceases or till regular posts are filled, whichever is earlier. Final selection is based on merit determined by qualifying-degree marks or teaching experience depending on post, followed by an interview, with first preference given to local candidates of Multizone-II for Assistant Professor, CAS, and Tutor posts. Consolidated pay ranges from ₹52,000 for CAS to ₹1,50,000 for Associate Professor. • Associate Professor: MD/MS/DNB in the concerned subject as per TEQ Regulation of NMC 2022; 5 years' post-PG experience including 4 years as Assistant Professor in the subject at a permitted/recognized medical college; at least 2 research publications in Medline/PubMed/SCI/SCIE/EMBASE/Scopus/DOAJ-indexed journals; completion of the basic course in Medical Education Technology and the basic course in Biomedical Research from NMC-designated institutions; MBBS and additional qualification registered with Telangana State Medical Council
• Assistant Professor: MD/MS/DNB in the concerned subject as per TEQ Regulation of NMC 2022; one year as Senior Resident in the concerned subject at a recognized/permitted medical college after acquiring the MD/MS degree; MBBS and additional qualification registered with Telangana State Medical Council
• Tutor: MBBS or equivalent recognized by the University of Health Sciences; for foreign degrees, passing the screening test conducted by the MCI/NMC may be considered; MBBS registered with Telangana Medical Council
• Civil Assistant Surgeon (CAS): MBBS or equivalent recognized by the University of Health Sciences; for foreign degrees, passing the screening test conducted by the MCI/NMC may be considered; MBBS registered with Telangana Medical Council

• Teaching posts (Associate Professor, Assistant Professor, Tutor): Below 69 years, as on 31-03-2026
• Non-teaching post (Civil Assistant Surgeon): Below 45 years, as on 31-03-2026
• Retired teaching faculty of the Government of Telangana or other government bodies are not eligible for contract appointment

• Associate Professor: MD/MS/DNB as per NMC TEQ Regulation 2022, plus 5 years' post-PG experience including 4 years as Assistant Professor, plus 2 research publications in indexed journals, plus Medical Education Technology and Biomedical Research basic courses
• Assistant Professor: MD/MS/DNB as per NMC TEQ Regulation 2022, plus 1 year Senior Resident experience in the concerned subject after acquiring the PG degree
• Tutor and Civil Assistant Surgeon (CAS): MBBS or equivalent recognized by the University of Health Sciences; foreign degree holders may be considered after passing the MCI/NMC screening test
• Outside-state candidates must register their qualification with the Telangana State Medical Council within one week of selection
• Candidates already working on contract in the same cadre at any other Government Medical College in Telangana are not eligible to apply
• This is a purely temporary contract appointment up to 31.03.2027 and does not confer any right to future government appointment

2. Fill in the application form completely in block letters, and paste a recent self-attested passport-size photograph in the space provided
3. Attach one attested photocopy each of all required documents — SSC Certificate, MBBS Degree, MD/MS/DNB Certificate and Marks Memo, registration certificates, and experience certificates
4. Attach a recent passport-size colour photograph, Aadhar Card, and PAN Card
5. For Associate Professor applicants, attach copies of publications with proof of indexation
6. Attach Community/Social Status Certificate/EWS/PH Certificate, as applicable
7. Submit the filled application, along with the Demand Draft for the application fee, at the Office of the Principal, Government Medical College, Nalgonda
8. Submit only between 05 September 2026 and 10 September 2026, on all working days up to 2:00 PM
9. Retain a copy of the submitted application for future reference
10. Keep original certificates ready for the certificate verification stage on 28 September 2026
