IBPS SO 2026 — CRP SPL XVI, Specialist Officer in 11 Public Sector Banks (1035 Posts)

IBPS has released the CRP SPL-XVI notification on 30 June 2026 for 745 Specialist Officer (Scale-I) posts across 11 participating public sector banks — IT Officer, Agriculture Field Officer (AFO), Law Officer, HR/Personnel Officer, Marketing Officer, and Rajbhasha Adhikari. Unlike IBPS PO (generalist), SO posts require domain-specific professional qualifications. The exam pattern has been revised this year. Selection through Preliminary Examination (29 August 2026), Main Examination with Professional Knowledge (01 November 2026), and Interview. Candidates can apply for only one Specialist Officer post — multiple applications will be rejected. This is a Scale-I officer post with the same pay scale as IBPS PO.

Varies by post — IT Officer: B.E./B.Tech in CS/IT/Electronics or MCA. Agriculture Field Officer: 4-year degree in Agriculture/Horticulture/Animal Husbandry/Veterinary/Dairy/Fishery/Forestry/Agri Engineering. Law Officer: LLB/LLM + enrolled with Bar Council + 2 years practice. HR/Personnel Officer: Graduate + PG/MBA in HR/Personnel/IR/Labour Welfare. Marketing Officer: MBA in Marketing. Rajbhasha Adhikari: PG in Hindi + English at degree level, OR PG in Sanskrit + Hindi & English at degree level.

20–30 years as on 01 July 2026; relaxation per Central Govt rules

• IT Officer: B.E./B.Tech in CS/IT/Electronics/ECE or MCA from recognized university.
• Agriculture Field Officer: 4-year degree in Agriculture/Horticulture/Animal Husbandry/Veterinary Science/Dairy Science/Fishery/Forestry/Agricultural Engineering/Pisciculture.
• Law Officer: Bachelor's degree in Law (LLB) + enrolled as Advocate with Bar Council + 2 years practice experience.
• HR/Personnel Officer: Graduate + PG Degree/Diploma in Personnel Management/IR/Labour Welfare/HRD/HRM/MBA with HR specialization.
• Marketing Officer: MBA in Marketing from recognized institution.
• Rajbhasha Adhikari: PG in Hindi with English at degree level, OR PG in Sanskrit with Hindi and English at degree level.
• Age 20–30 years as on 01 July 2026.

₹850 (General/OBC/EWS); ₹175 (SC/ST/PwBD). Online payment only.

Scale-I: Basic Pay ₹48,480/month + DA, HRA, CCA, and other allowances. In-hand approximately ₹55,000–₹65,000/month.
