IIA Project Trainee Recruitment 2026 — 2 Posts, Walk-in 21 Aug (Karnataka)

Candidates holding a BE/B.Tech/M.Sc in the relevant discipline with 60% marks are eligible to attend the walk-in interview for this central research institute opportunity in Karnataka. Selected Project Trainees will support IIA's ongoing research projects, working with manufacturing processes and CAD tools (Mechanical) or optical testing and Python/Matlab-based analysis (Optics). • Project Trainee (Mechanical), 1 post: BE/B.Tech/M.Sc in Mechanical/Production/Aerospace with 60% marks aggregate, with knowledge of manufacturing processes, engineering drawings, GD&T basics and CAD tools
• Project Trainee (Optics), 1 post: BE/B.Tech/M.Sc/ME/M.Tech in Optics/Photonics/Applied Physics with 60% marks aggregate, with knowledge of optical testing, alignment and basic programming (Python/Matlab)

• Project Trainee (Mechanical): Maximum 27 years
• Project Trainee (Optics): Maximum 30 years
• Relaxation for SC/ST/OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) and PwD as per Govt. of India norms

• BE/B.Tech/M.Sc in Mechanical/Production/Aerospace with 60% marks (for Mechanical post)
• BE/B.Tech/M.Sc/ME/M.Tech in Optics/Photonics/Applied Physics with 60% marks (for Optics post)
• Age up to 27 years (Mechanical) or 30 years (Optics), with SC/ST/OBC/PwD relaxation

• No application fee for any category

• ₹40,000 per month, for both posts
