ABV-Indian Institute of Information Technology & Management, Gwalior (IIITM Gwalior), an Institute of National Importance under the Ministry of Education, Government of India, has released Junior Research Fellow (JRF) Recruitment 2026 for 1 post under an ANRF-sponsored project. This central government research position is open to candidates with an M.Tech/M.S./M.E. in CSE, IT, Electronics & Communication, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering, along with a qualifying GATE or CSIR-UGC NET score. The selected candidate will work under the supervision of Dr. Rahul Kala, Associate Professor (IT), on the ANRF-sponsored project "Socially-Interactive Vacuum Cleaning Robot for On-Human Demand and Human-Instructed Cleaning," carried out in collaboration with NIT Mizoram. The position runs for up to three years, extendable to five years or the project duration, whichever is earlier, and selected candidates may also enrol in the Institute's PhD programme. If no suitable JRF candidate is found, the post may instead be filled at the Project Associate-1 level, which accepts candidates with a Bachelor's degree even without a GATE/NET qualification, though at revised emoluments as per ANRF/DST norms. • JRF: M.Tech/M.S./M.E. or equivalent in CSE/IT/EC/EE/ME, plus B.Tech/B.E./M.Sc. in CSE/IT/EC/EE/ME or equivalent, with qualified GATE/CSIR-UGC NET (including Lectureship/Assistant Professorship) in the relevant area
• Project Associate-1 (considered if no suitable JRF candidate found): B.Tech/B.E. or equivalent in CSE/IT/EC/EE/ME; GATE/CSIR-UGC NET preferred but not mandatory
• Desirable: Basics of machine learning, deep learning, computer vision, robotics, or large language models

• M.Tech/M.S./M.E. in CSE/IT/EC/EE/ME, plus B.Tech/B.E./M.Sc. in the same disciplines
• Qualified GATE or CSIR-UGC NET (including Lectureship/Assistant Professorship) in the relevant area
• Desirable background in machine learning, deep learning, computer vision, robotics, or large language models
• Willingness to enrol in the Institute's PhD programme as per norms
